Polyester fiber present in the outer peripheral part of the article to be molded is gradually fused when the temperature of the heated mold 4 reaches to the melting point of a low-melting fiber material. The heating step is completed after the predetermined time lapses, wherein the mold 4 is cooled to solidify the polyester fiber which remains melted, and thereby the cushion material 3 is prevented from being damaged. The manufacturing processes are simplified, and the manufacturing cost can be reduced by molding the seat pad for the vehicle by heating while covering the cushion material 3.
