摘要： PURPOSE:To improve yield in obtaining the titled compound useful as a synthetic raw material for weather-resistant pigment by acylating a 6-alkyltetralin, dehydrogenating and oxidizing, by hydrogenating an acyl group introduced in acylating process before oxidizing process to completely convert the acyl group to a hydroxyalkyl group and/or an alkyl group. CONSTITUTION:A 6-alkyltetralin is acylated in the presence of Friedel-Crafts catalyst and then the reaction product is dehydrogenated. In the operation, before or after the dehydrogenating process or simultaneously in dehydrogenation, an acyl group introduced in the acylating process is hydrogenated and stabilized. The hydrogenation is carried out in the presence or absence of an alcohol solvent by using a noble metallic catalyst such as platinum at normal temperature - 250 deg.C under 5-100kg/cm hydrogen pressure so that the acyl group is substantially completely converted into a hydroxyalkyl group and/or an alkyl group. Then the resulting substance is oxidized, preferably in a gas phase to give the aimed compound. A catalyst of hydrogen fluoride/boron trifluoride type is preferable as the catalyst.

CONSTITUTION:Vapor from the top of a steaming tower containing an impurity 2 in phenolate extracted by cleaning tar light oil, carbolic oil, naphthalene oil, absorbing oil, etc., with a dilute solution of sodium hydroxide is introduced into an indirect heat exchanger 4 to thermally exchange the vapor with hot water circulating flash tank 5 and indirect heat exchanger 4 and hot water raised in temperature is flashed and the generated flash steam is raised in pressure to raise the temperature and blown into a steaming tower 1. As a result, impurity in phenolate is purified and removed in remarkably reduced blowing steam expense. Further more, operation cost can be reduced as a whole.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and inexpensively manufacture high purity thiocianate improved in filtering property by adding a calcium hydroxide or a calcium oxide in a desulfurization effluent from a coke oven and heating while bringing into contact with oxygen containing gas. CONSTITUTION:The calcium hydroxide and/or calcium oxide is added in a desulfurization effluent which is obtained from a wet desulfurization process by means of an aqueous ammonia of the coke oven, and is heated while being brought into contact with the oxygen containing gas. Subsequently, a produced precipitate is separated and eliminated to obtain the thiocianate solution. According to this method, a produced sludge is made into a coarse grain by bringing the reaction liquid into contact with the oxygen containing gas with heating, hence the liquid can easily by filtered by a conventional filter. A quantity of the calcium hydroxide, etc., to bee added in the desulfurization effluent is adjusted conforming with the kind of the desired thiocianate to be manufactured.

CONSTITUTION:Naphthalene containing 4,000-10,000ppm, preferably 5,000-8,000ppm calculated as sulfur atom of sulfur or a sulfur compound is used as a raw material and catalytically oxidized with oxygen gas in vapor phase at 430-480 deg.C in the presence of a catalyst consisting essentially of pentoxide-potassium sulfate-potassium pyrosulfate having a composition shown by the formula (X is Si, Ti, Al, etc.; a-g are atomic ratio of each atom; a:b:c:d: e:f is 10:10-100:5-100:0.1-10:0.05-10:10-300; g is number determined by values of a-f, etc.) to give 1,4-naphthoquinone. This process has high conversion ratio of naphthalene and does not require separation, recovery and reuse of unreacted raw material.

摘要： PURPOSE:To completely remove organic sulfur compounds which are hard to separate, by simple operation and to purify the titled compound useful as a raw material for drugs, etc., in high yield, by adding a hydroxyalkylamine derivative to crude naphthalene, melting under heating, cooling and separating precipitated crystal. CONSTITUTION:Crude naphthalene is blended with a hydroxyalkylamine derivative, preferably monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, triethanolamine, propanolamine, etc. Then the naphthalene is melted under heating preferably about 80 deg.C and cooled (to preferably 10-20 deg.C) to precipitate crystal. The crystal is separated to give purified naphthalene. The amount of the hydroxylamine derivative used in the reaction is 2-6 times, preferably 2-4 times as much as that of the crude naphthalene. A solvent for removing monoethanolamine attached to the separated naphthalene is hexane, etc.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the overflow of coke in a cooling column and, at the same time, to continuously conduct safety operation, by detecting the amt. of the stock in a prechamber of dry fire-quenching equipment and instructing the switching to wet fire quenching when the amt. of the stock reaches the maximum value. CONSTITUTION:A stock sensor 19 mounted on a prechamber 1-4 located at the upper portion within a cooling column 1-1 is set so that the overflow of coke does not occur even when the cooling column is charged with a bucket of red-hot coke after the level of the coke has reached the upper limit position. Based on the information on the upper limit level detected by the sensor 19, and instruction for startup is sent from a ground station 13 to a station 14 mounted on a fire-quenching car, and the compressor of the fire-quenching car is put into operation. After the level of coke reaches at the maximum value, a further bucket of red-hot coke is put into the cooling column, and a sequencer sends to the ground station an instruction for switching of fire-quenching car, followed by stopping of the automatic operation schedule. The amt. of the stock of the cooling column 1-1 and the discharging rate are calculated in the ground station 13, and a signal for switching from the fire quenching car to a bucket car is sent when it has been judged that the coke is put into the cooling column and the pushing schedule can be continued.

The bucket car is then travelled to dry fire- quenching equipment 1. During the travelling of the bucket car, an instruction for travelling to an oven which is subsequently scheduled to be pushed is sent to a first fire-quenching car 4-1 being stopped at a predetermined position of a first fire- quenching tower 2-1, so that the bucket car 3 and the fire-quenching car 4-1 are simultaneously operated. The bucket of the bucket car 3 is delivered to the cooling tower. The fire-quenching car 4-1 is travelled based on a basic travel pattern, receives coke and is returned to the fire-quenching tower 2-1, where quenching is conducted by water spray. Thereafter, the fire-quenching car 4-1 is travelled to a first coke wharf 7-1 to deliver the cooled coke and then travelled to the next intended oven.

EFFECT:Isomerization to 2-alkylnaphthalene can by suppressed at a low level.

Second, the formed coke above prepared is blended with pulverized coal composition comprising caking coal and low-grade coal followed by dry distillation of the resulting blend, thus obtaining the objective coke.
