    • PURPOSE: To obtain a plated thin steel having low gloss at a low cost by coating the surface of the plating film of a thin steel sheet with a metal powder or a ceramic powder by 5-80% coating rate. CONSTITUTION: The surface of a galvanizing layer 2 of a thin steel sheet 1 is coated with a metal powder or a ceramic powder 3 by 5-80% coating rate. As for the metal powder, a powder of Zn, Al, Cr, Ni, Sn, Co, etc., can be used, and as the ceramic powder, a powder of SiO2 , Al2 O3 , ZrO2 , Cr2 O3 , K2 O, MgO, CaO, SiC, TiC, etc., can be used. The powder coating can be carried out with good productivity at a low cost by spraying the powder to the plating layer after the deposition amt. of the plating layer is controlled by air wiping and before the layer is solidified. Thereby, the plated thin steel sheet having low gloss in which the powder held on the surface of the plated thin steel sheet absorbs or scatters light to decrease the normal reflectance for incident light is obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To provide a galvannealed steel sheet consisting of a Ti-Nb added extra-low carbon steel as a base steel sheet and having excellent workability and a production method thereof. CONSTITUTION: The base steel sheet is the extra-low carbon Ti-Nb added steel. The plating layer components thereof are, by weight %, 8 to 13% Fe and 0.35 to 0.6% Al and the deposit thereof is 20 to 90g/m . The alloy phase in which Al is included at a concn. of >=0.5% is made to exist locally within a range of 2μm around the boundary between the plating layers and the base steel sheet in the sectional structure of the plating layers. The presence frequencies of the local existence phase of the Al are made equal to the size of the crystal grain boundaries of the base steel sheet. The process for production is executed at the effective Al concn. of the plating bath within a range of 0.12 to 0.20%. The Γ phase which is the cause for degradation of the workability of the galvannealed steel sheet is fragmented by allowing the local existence phases of the Al to exist in the steel sheet, by which the occurrence and propagation of crack at the time of receipt of the deformation are prevented.
