    • PURPOSE:To contrive an improvement in magnetic shield capacity by making density of a fired body high and uniform, by a method wherein centrifugal molding of slurry of raw material powder or its temporarily fired powder which becomes a high-temperature superconductor is performed and the obtained cylindrical molded body is fired. CONSTITUTION:Compounded raw material powder into a composition through which it becomes finally a high-temperature superconductor at a temperature of a liquid nitrogen or higher by performing firing or temporarily fired powder obtained by firing temporarily the raw material powder at a temperature lower than a firing temperature is made into slurry by dispersing into appropriate solvent such as water or an organic solvent such as acetone or alcohol. Then after the obtained slurry is cast into a template, the template is turned, the tubular inside is deposited with the slurry at a uniform thickness and centrifugal molding is performed. After the slurry is fixed, a turning of the template is suspended, the template is disassembled and a cylindrical molded body is taken out and dried. The obtained molded body is fired and made into a magnetic shield body. With this construction, the magnetic shield body which has uniform density and is superior in magnetic shield capacity is obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To improve oxidation resistance by slip casing an oxidation-resistant non- oxide ceramics, forming the surface layer, subsequently charging a non-oxide ceramics excellent in high temperature strength into the inside thereof, carrying out slip casing and sintering the resultant forming. CONSTITUTION:With a non-oxide ceramics powder excellent in oxidation resistance, e.g. sialon represented by the formula (Z is 0-4.2), an auxiliary agent such as an Sc2O3- Y2O3-based substance, a dispersant such as a polyacrylic acid salt, a binder such as PVA and a solvent such as water are blended to prepare a slip 1. Another slip 2 is prepared by admixing an auxiliary agent such as a Y2O3-Al2O3-based substance, a dispersant, a binder and a solvent with a non-oxide ceramics powder excellent in high temperature strength, e.g. sialon having a low Z value. The above-mentioned slip 1 is charged into a porous mold to form the surface layer and the slip existing in the inside part is subsequently removed. The slip 2 is then charged into the inside of the porous mold to carry out solid slip casting and the cast material is demolded to obtain a prescribed-shape composite molding. The resultant composite molding is then dried, defatted and baked, thus giving the objective sintered compact of the non-oxide ceramics.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an integral magnetic shield having no seam by coating metal of a shape to be magnetically shielded with organic compound solution of metal to become a superconductor at liquid nitrogen temperature or higher by baking, and baking it together with the metal. CONSTITUTION:As metals for forming oxide superconductor, the form of an organic compounds soluble in solvent is employed. Such metallic organic compounds include fatty acid salts such as naphthenate, octylate, stearate, etc., acetylacetate, alkoxide, etc., which are soluble in organic solvent and become metal oxide by baking. As the solvent of the above metallic organic compound, toluene, xylene, mineral spirit, buthanol, etc., are employed. A metal vessel is coated with the metallic organic compound solution. It is again coated with the solution after temporarily baking, steps of drying and temporarily baking are repeated, to enhance the density of oxide superconductor obtained by baking the coating film, and to prevent it from cracking, thereby preventing a leakage magnetic field.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting wire or tape with good quality and no open circuit or the like by melting a combination of a compound containing group II-A and group III-A elements and a compound containing copper, immersing a wire-shaped or tape-shaped metallic core material in this solution, lifting and quickly cooling it, then annealing it. CONSTITUTION:Rare earth metal elements such as Ca, Sr, Ba for II-A group elements of the periodic table and Sc, Y, La for III-A group elements are used, and oxide, carbonate, sulfate, nitrate, acetate or the like are used for a compound containing these elements and copper. A combination of them is melted in a conventional electric furnace or the like, a metallic core material is put in this solution, fine vibration is applied to remove air bubbles on the surface of the core material, it is wetted and stuck with the solution on the whole surface then lifted at the fixed speed. The lifted core material is quickly cooled in the air then put in the electric furnace at 800-950 deg.C and annealed for several hours and cooled. The productivity is thereby improved, a superconductor is fixed to the core material continuously and homogeneously, and a superconducting wire or tape with extremely excellent quality and no open circuit is obtained.
