摘要： PURPOSE:To enable the continuous drilling of a tunnel having a deformed cross section except a circular shape by revolving side cutters around a center cutter along a guide frame having a similar figure to a planned drilling sectional form. CONSTITUTION:The driving force of a motor is transmitted to a large rotary table 3 via transmission shafts 33 and pin gears 32 and the table 3 is rotated around a center cutter shaft, rotating small rotary tables 7 and side cutter rotary shafts 41. Also, guide gears 42 are roatatingly moved along the inner peripheral face of a guide frame 5 causing the revolving tracks of the rotary shafts 41 to be along the peripheral face of the frame 5. A center cutter 2 is rotated in the direction opposite to side cutters 4 to drill the central circular portion of a working face. The side cutters 4 are revolved on nearly a square track along the frame 5 with respect to the center cutter 2 while rotating on their axes, to drill the portions between the center circular portion and square shaped portions of the cross section of a tunnel formed by the outer peripheral edge of the front face of a shield machine.

摘要： PURPOSE: To prevent the flowing water from overflowing to the earth's surface and to facilitate the transportation of snow masses, by installing a sub-water way on upper part of a side wall in a main water way in a snow-draining ditch, along the main water way to communicate them through a porous partition plate. CONSTITUTION: A sub-water way 4 is installed on the upper part of a side wall in a main water way 2 in a snow-discharging ditch 1, along the main water way 2, and a porous partition plate 5 is set between the both water ways. Therefore, the overflow water flows out from the porous partition plate 5 to the sub-water way 4 when the main water way 2 is blocked by snow masses 5 to raise the water level L. The water in the sub-water way 4 always tends to return to the main water way 2, and this returning water and the water flowing in the main water way 2 sweep away the snow masses. Thereby, the overflow of flowing water to the earth's surface can be prevented even when the snow-discharging ditch is blocked by the snow masses, and the snow masses can be carried.

摘要： PURPOSE:To exactly measure the strength of the ground to be evaluated by a method in which the turning speed, excavating speed, bit propulsion, and turning torque of a boring rod during the excavation are measured, and data on the strength of the ground on the present site are obtained. CONSTITUTION:A boring machine 2 is set on the measuring position of a given ground 1 and excavation is propelled by an excavator having a driven 7 with a boring rod 4 having a bit 3 on its tip which is formed by connecting the joints of each unit rod 5 and having a rotator 8. An optical sensor type sensor 9 for turning speed and a sensor 10 for excavating speed are provided for the boring machine and connected to a memory 11. A strain gauge type sensor 12 for turning torque and a sensor 13 for bit propulsion are incorporated in the upright part of the bit 3. Data detected are recorded in memories 12' and 13' and put in an analyzer 14 for analysis of ground strength.

CONSTITUTION:Paired endless chains 10A and 10B are disposed in parallel at a specified interval, and concurrently a plate shape body P is disposed between both the endless chains by using an excavator which connects the adjacent endless chains 10A and 10B to each other with connecting members having excavating blades 11. The endless chains 10A and 10B are moved while pressing force is being applied to the ground by means of the excavator, so that excavation cutting the ground roughly into a rectangle shape in cross section is thereby carried out to a specified depth. After excavation has been over, only the excavator is removed out of the ground, however the plate shape body P is left over as is in the ground in process of the aforesaid removal.
