When they are detected, source decode processing stop is stopped and erroneous source data left in the buffer memory 107 are aborted, channel decode processing is tried again, source decoding is restarted and normal data are used to conduct source decode processing.

A display control section 109 synthesizes the display data fed from the display data setting section 114 and a video signal fed from an A/V decoder 103 and the synthesized data are displayed on a television display device 105.

The superimposed character part of the input video signal is temporarily stored in a memory circuit 103, and it is read out at a speed higher than the write speed to convert the aspect ratio. A superimposed character synthesizing circuit 106 takes the output signal of the picture expansion circuit 108 and that of the memory circuit 103 as the input and synthesizes them to output the result.

Thus, the successively scanned video signals can be enlarged by interpolation processing, a scanning line matched with the centroid position of interlace scanning can be generated by the simple circuit, and the enlarged picture with high picture quality can be provided.

SOLUTION: A video signal is written in a memory 103 corresponding to a write clock from an input terminal 118. A clock generating circuit 119 supplies the read clock of about 4/3-fold frequency of the write clock to the memory 103. A vertical enlargement control part 110 reads the video signal out of the memory 103 in a line term corresponding to a magnifying power. In the similar term, the write of a 1-line memory 105 is stopped and the line delay output of an output signal from the memory 103 is provided. According to a control signal from the vertical enlargement control circuit 110, a vertical interpolation circuit 106 prepares a scan line signal by interpolating operation. A horizontal direction is similarly controlled by a horizontal enlargement control circuit 113.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To receive various digital broadcast signals by providing a selecting means which selects one transport stream out of the output signals of receiving and demodulating means and sharing a packet separating means, a decoding means or the like. SOLUTION: A selector 107 selects one of transport streams with a command from a control signal input terminal 114 according to an indication from a system control part 113 and outputs it to a descrambling part 108. The descrambling part 108, packet separation part 109 and decoding part 110 descramble video and audio signals, select necessary packets, and decodes the video and audio signals or the like according to information from the system control part 113. Then an output process part 111 performs processes for D/A conversion or the like and then outputs the result to a television or the like through an output terminal 112. Thus, the selector 107 is provided to receive signals which are digitally modulated in various styles.
