Then, at the time of attaching the process cartridge B, the control contact part 13e is held in contact with the first fixing section of the main body, and allowed to position the process cartridge B to the main body in cooperation with guide means. Furthermore, the release contact part 13f is held in contact with the second fixing section of the main body that becomes a turning fulcrum at the time of detaching.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent a transfer material to be fed from a transfer part to a fixing part which carrying an unfixed toner image from coming into contact with a cartridge while it is being fed by forming a projecting part at the edge of a scooping sheet for receiving recovered toner on an opposite side to the edge thereof abutting on an image carrier. CONSTITUTION: When residual toner remaining on the image carrier 7 while does not contribute to transfer at the transfer part reaches a cleaning part with the rotative traveling of the image carrier 7, it is scraped by a cleaning blade 13a, scooped by the scooping sheet 13b and stored in a toner storing part on the inner side. The projecting part 13b-1 having an acute top is formed on the side of the sheet 13b opposite to the side abutting on the image carrier 7. Thus, even when the trailing edge part of the transfer material leaps because of curl in the case the transfer material separated from the image carrier 7 after finishing the transfer advances toward a fixing device, it is restrained by the projected part 13b-1, and the occurrence of irregularities in an image caused by rubbing on the base of the cartridge is avoided.

    • PURPOSE: To enable a sure feeding of toner into a developing chamber even if a special carrying mechanism is not provided by inclinedly forming first and second drop surfaces in a toner container. CONSTITUTION: The toner container 11 is constituted in such a manner that a container main body 11a being a first container part and a cover member 11b being a second container part are integrated by welding. The main body 11a is opened on the top surface, that is, in the shape of what is called, a bathtub and the bottom face constitutes the first fall down face 11c inclined to a developing roller 9c, when the main body 11a is fitted to a developing frame 12. In a part of the side of the frame 12, the second drop surface 11f consisting of a projection surface projecting into the main body 11a is formed and a recessed part 11g is formed on the outside surface of the cover member 11b by the drop surface 11f. The second drop surface 11f is inclined toward the toner discharge opening 11d of the main body 11a. Then, a tool for welding such as a receiving base for welding can be inserted from the recessed part 11g.

    • PURPOSE:To insert a cartridge without receiving load from a pressing means by providing the pressing means pressing the cartridge when an opening and closing member is closed and releasing the pressing of the cartridge when the opening and closing member is opened. CONSTITUTION:An upper opening and closing cover 16b is opened and the process cartridge is inserted along guide parts 7a and 7b. When the cover 16b is closed, the upper surface of the cartridge is pressed by the pressing member 18a provided on the inner top panel of the cover 16b. Simultaneously, the projections 1a1 and 1a2 of a frame body abut on the abutting parts 7b1 and 7b2 of the guide part 7b. Then, the cartridge is positioned and the rotation thereof is regulated. Besides, a leaf spring 18b is fitted to a frame near the turning center of the cover 16b. Since a distance between a supporting point P1 and a point to which force is applied P3 where the spring 18b is pressed is longer than the distance between the supporting point P1 and the point of application P2 where the cartridge is pressed, the cartridge can be pressed by the spring 18b by small power. Therefore, the load added on the cover 16b is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To surely feed power to an electrostatic charging member which comes into contact and electrostatically charges a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic charging roller 30 is brought into contact with the photosensitive drum. The shaft center 31 of the roller 30 is turnably supported by a bearing 35, and energizes the photosensitive drum 21 by a spring 36. The bearing 35 and the spring 36 are constituted of a conductive member. The power is fed to the roller 30 by an electrode 40 connected to a power source 38. In such a case, a 1st feed path constituted by bringing the leading edge 40a of the electrode 40 directly into contact with the end face 31a of a core bar 31 and a 2nd feed path which leads to the core bar 31 from the electrode 40 through the spring 36 and the bearing 35 are provided, and the power is fed to the roller 30 via both paths. Even when one feed path is faulty, the power is surely fed by the other.
