    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotor internal configuration of a 2-bore rotary carburetor for a stratified-scavenging engine stabilizing the engine of a power saw, a lawnmower or the like in idling and all position changing.
      SOLUTION: A fuel supply side bore 8 of a carburetor rotor valve 6 is formed with groove pockets 10 communicating with the fuel supply side bore 8 respectively in opening edges of an upstream end and a downstream end on a side of accelerating rotation direction of the rotor valve 6. The groove pocket 10 is in a shape of gradually turning upward to the side of accelerating rotation direction along a peripheral surface of the rotor valve 6 and decreasing in cross sectional area. The construction is therefore such that in horizontal rotation of the rotor valve 6, the groove pockets 10 first lap over a mix passage, the fuel supply side bore 8 and the mix passage are brought into communication and the fuel supply side bore 8 is opened before an air supply side bore 7.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optionally adjust increase in air flow rate and fuel injection quantity in the start.
      SOLUTION: An operating member 15 is supported to be capable of linear motion by a support member 14 integrated with a cover body of a rotary throttle valve type carburetor so that the operating member 15 can be advance/retract to/from between the cover body and a radially outward lever member 4 integrated with a valve rod 3b. A fuel adjusting screw member 18 is arranged on a lever member so that the screw member 18 is engaged with the fully-closed lever member, by pushing the operating member into a lever member side, and an opening adjusting screw member 16 is arranged at a tip part of the operating member so that the screw member 16 is engaged with an engaging recess part 19 arranged on a second arm part 4b integrated with the lever member. Increase in fuel injection quantity and increase in air flow rate can be separately adjusted by each of the screw members, and setting can be precisely performed depending on atmospheres. Precision in setting is higher than that of a conventional art in which a plurality of stages of setting can be performed, and good startability in various atmospheres is implemented.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stratified scavenging carburetor capable of being further miniaturized.
      SOLUTION: A through hole 7d formed in a valve element 7b to communicate with an air passage 1b is formed to have a cross sectional shape being long and flat in the direction of axial line of the valve element like a circular column. The direction having small width in the flat cross sectional shape of the through hole becomes the direction of diameter of the valve element like the circular column so that length in the radial direction of the valve element like the circular column can be shortened for a valve element provided with a hole having a circular cross sectional shape having the same cross sectional area as that of the through hole 7d of the valve element 7b. By forming the through hole communicating with the air passage into the flat cross sectional shape as the valve element of a rotary valve, diameter of a member like a circular column can be reduced while ensuring the same flow passage area. As a result, the carburetor for the direction having small width (radial direction of the member like the circular column) can be miniaturized.

      SOLUTION: A body of a rotary throttle valve type carburetor includes a throttle chamber communicating to a air fuel mixing passage and an air fuel mixing passage, and a fuel flow passage. A throttle valve is stored in the chamber movably in a rotation and an axial direction, and moves between an idling position and an expansion open position to control air fuel mixture flow in the mixing passage. An insertion valve threadedly inserted in and retained by the carburetor adjusts flow rate of fuel from the carburetor through the fuel flow passage. The insertion valve is rotated and moved in an axial direction along the thread by a tool engagement part of the insertion valve. The tool engagement part is not in a round shape and mates with just a special tool. The insertion valve is retained by the throttle valve and moves together with the same. The tool engagement part has a flat surface and is in a roughly D-shape. A carburetor body includes a recess in which the tool engagement part is arranged to limit entrance to the tool engagement part.

      SOLUTION: A rotary throttle valve type carburetor 1 comprises: an intake passage 3; a rotary throttle valve 5 opening/closing the intake passage; a fueling nozzle 7 projecting and inserted upward in a venturi hole 6 of the rotary throttle valve; a needle 8 for fuel gauging hanging in the venturi hole of the rotary throttle valve and inserted into the fueling nozzle. In the carburetor 1, a fuel discharge passage 23 having a portion whose cross section is gradually increases upward is formed in an inner face of one side part of a peripheral wall of the fueling nozzle. Since the tip of the needle fits to the part with cross section of the fuel discharge passage gradually increasing in a range of slight lift amount of the needle, change in cross section of the passage along with vertical motion of the needle becomes slow.
