    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional service authentication system using an IC card for adopting a method of supplementing the low arithmetic performance of the IC card by installing a proxy server computer between the IC card and a job server computer that the amount of storage of authentication information in the proxy server computer becomes too large and causes inefficient authentication processing because the proxy server computer directly authenticates the IC card. SOLUTION: In addition to the system wherein the proxy server computer is installed between the IC card and the job server computer, an authentication server computer for the IC card is installed. The authentication result obtained by the authentication server computer is transmitted to the proxy server computer and the job server computer, and the IC card transmits the authentication result to the proxy server computer so as to attain proxy processing utilizing the authentication result.
