    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover structure for an underground construction capable of securing the strength of a cover body, preventing the inflow of rainwater from a bar hole, releasing the cover body from biting into a receiving frame, and actualizing easy and reliable opening of a cover.SOLUTION: The cover structure for the underground construction includes a receiving frame 1, a cover body 2 having a bar hole 3 into which a front end 25 of a bar 24 is inserted, a turnable locking hook body 7 journaled at its upper part to the reverse of the cover body 2, and a closing cover 10 for closing the bar hole 3. On the inner face of the receiving frame 1, a receiving frame side protrusion 4 is formed. A one-end lower part 25a at the front end 25 of the bar 24 inserted through the bar hole 3 into the receiving frame 1 abuts on the upper face of the receiving frame side protrusion 4, and an other-end upper part 25b at the front end 25 of the bar 24 abuts on the reverse 5 of the cover body 2. The hook body 7 has an engaging claw 8a for engaging with the lower face of the receiving frame side protrusion 4. The closing cover 10 is mounted in the hook body 7 via a compression spring 12 in an up-and-down movable manner. With the hook body 7 turned by the front end 25 of the bar 24, the engaging claw 8a is removed from the receiving frame side protrusion 4 to unlock the cover body 2.

The receiving frame 5 has an outer side flange 5e larger than an outer diameter of the pit 2 at an upper part and has an insertion part 5a into the pit 2 at a lower part, and a gap (S) for enabling insertion of the receiving frame 5 obliquely into the pit 2 is formed between the insertion part 5a and the pit 2. The fixing means 10 comprises a bolt 8 having such a length that it is screwed to the insertion part 5a and a screw part distal end is projected from an outer peripheral surface of the insertion part 5a, and a retaining projection 9 provided on an outer peripheral surface of the insertion part 5a.
