    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a magnetic head move to the inner periphery stop there at the time of stopping the rotation of the magnetic head by arranging a magnetic body near a permanent magnet for revising and correcting external force of a coil carriage by operating a magnetic circuit. SOLUTION: The magnetic head is attached to the coil carriage consisting of a carriage 1 and a coil 2. Further, a lower yoke 3-b, the coil 2, the permanent magnet 4 and an upper yoke 3-a are in a line in this order from the bottom so as to hold the coil 2 therebetween for forming the magnetic circuit. Further, a latch pin 6 for moving the coil carriage and fixing the magnetic head 7 to the inner periphery is attached backward the coil 2, and a latch magnet 5 is attached backward the magnet 4. The pin 6 is affected by the leakage magnetic flux of the magnet 4 through the magnetic body 11 according to approach the magnet 5. Thus, the pin 6 is attracted to the magnet 5 when magnetic disk rotation is stopped, and the magnetic head moves to the inner periphery to stop.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance positioning accuracy of access and also to suppress displacement in the vertical direction by guiding and supporting a carriage with at least three supporting members, each one end being fixed, having their movements in their specific directions respectively. CONSTITUTION:The three supporting members 31 formed with reciprocating leaf springs are arranged to be deviated from one another in the access direction, and each one end is fastened via an engagement metal fitting 25 to a fixing member 22, while the other end to a carriage barrel 16. Then, when the carriage 14 is driven in the access direction of P by making a current flow in an actuator movable coil 17, degree of freedom in the directions of translation and rotation is restrained by the individual supporting members 31a in a plane that is vertical to the direction of P, and pitching and yawing of the carriage are also restrained. Consequently, the individual supporting members 31a are bent in the access direction, and hence the carriage 14 is restrained in degree of freedom in five directions except the access direction by the three supporting members 31a, and is guided in translation. By this method, the displacement in the vertical direction is suppressed, and hence smooth movement can be carried out.
