The pressure oil partially passes through a gap, constituted between a rear end part 16 of rear side thrust race and rear side plate 5, to flow out to a rear side radial needle bearing 7, while passes through a gap, constituted between a rear side thrust race 18 and the rear side thrust needle bearing 19 and the rear side plate 6, to lubricate between the rear side thrust race 19 and rear side thrust needle bearing 19 and also lubricate the rear side slide surface of the rotor 8.

    • PURPOSE:To smooth an action of a vane when the vane starts to run out as well as to diminish a frictional force within grooves of the vane, by forming, in a arc- shape the end of a vane opposite to its other and which is abutting to a cam ring. CONSTITUTION:A vane 7 is formed in such a way that its end portion, that is, a portion 7A abutting to a cam ring is formed in a conventional contiguration of arc- shape with a radius R, while its base portion, that is, an end face 7B of the opposite side to the position 7A abutting to the cam ring is formed in a arc-shape with a radius r(a half of the width of the vane). Therefore, the end face 7B of the vane 7 may be connected with the both end faces and this connecting portion may be formed in a curved surface.

    • PURPOSE: To sufficiently lubricate a surface of a swash plate at start of a compressor by providing a sub-oil sump at the lower part of a swash plate for dipping the lower part of the swash plate in an oil deposited therein at stop of the compressor and feeding back an oil deposited in auxiliary oil chambers during operation of the compressor into the sub-oil sump while the compressor rests.
      CONSTITUTION: A sub-oil sump chamber 21 is provided at the lower part of a swash plate 13, that is, between mutually adjacent two bores of left and right cylinder blocks 2, 3, constituted in such a manner that the lower part of the swash plate 13 with an oil deposited therein is dipped while a compressor rests. A part of the oil floating in the state of mist in the sub-oil sump chamber 21 passes through communication holes 29, 30 into auxiliary oil chambers 25, 26 disposed around the sub-oil sump chamber 21 and is gradually concentrated and deposited therein. When the compressor stops, no oil enters the auxiliary oil chambers 25, 26 through the communication holes 29, 30 from the sub-oil sump 21 and the oil in the auxiliary oil chambers 25, 26 goes slow into the sub-oil sump 21 through small openings 27, 28. As sufficient oil in the sub-oil sump chamber 21 is ensured at start of the compressor, the surface of the swash plate may be well lubricated.

    • PURPOSE:To positively utilize oil foaming produced in a compressor at the activation thereof for effective lubrication even in the reactivation. CONSTITUTION:When a compressor has sufficient amount of refrigerant to display full refrigerating capacity in the freezing cycle, foaming phenomenon occurs due to the lowering pressure in a swash plate chamber 16 at the activation of the compressor. The foaming phenomenon increases th apparent volume of oil to several ten times. It also occurs in oil within an oil reservoir 25 to jet foamed oil from an orifice 26 into a swash plate chamber 16 as shown by arrow in the drawing. This oil is supplied to lubricate the surface of a swash plate 3. On the other hand when the amount of refrigerant decreases in the reactivation of compressor, the amount of refrigerant dissolved into oil in the swash plate chamber 16 decreases. However, when furan system refrigerant is used and a protective device for the compressor is provided, at least some degree of refrigerant is mixed into oil in the oil reservoir 25 at the reactivation of compressor and always foaming phenomenon occurs.
