    • PURPOSE:To reduce secondary flow loss generated in a low aspect ratio stage by determining peripheral direction coordinates of a stationary blade trailing edge and blade length direction coordinates so that blade chord length relative to the blade length dirrection of a stationary blade may change in accordance with an elliptic curve having the blade length and chord length as parameter. CONSTITUTION:Tip part blades 21a, 21b... of plural stationary blades 20a, 20b... are connected to the inner wall 14 of the outer periphery diaphragm, bottom part blades 22a, 22b... are connected to the outer wall surface 15 of the inner periphery diaphragm, fixed and held. Blade forms of stationary blades 20a, 20b... are formed of a back face form 16a and a ventral form 16b, and a height (blade length) is decided with a flow passage width Hn. Blades 23a, 23b... of the central parts are such that a blade chord length Cp is larger than a blade chord length Ct in the tip part and the chord length Cr in the bottom part. The trailing edge line of the stationary blade is made into an elliptic curve adopting the blade length Hn as a long diameter and the chord length Cr of the center part of the blade as a short diameter. Accordingly, secondary flow loss in a low aspect ratio step is reduced, and stage performance of an axial flow turbine is improved.

CONSTITUTION:In a superhigh-pressure and high-temperature turbine, when steam 2 coming from a steam inlet tube 1 passes through plural turbine end portions consisting of mobile blades 12 and stational blades 24, the mobile blades 12, or a rotary shaft 4 is turned. The steam 2 then goes in the form of an exhaust flow 8 into an annular space 6 and sent through between inner and outer casings 3 and 5 from the exhaust tube 7 to the next steam turbine. In this case, plural guide vanes 10 to be inclined radially to the axis of the rotary shaft 4 by as much as angle B to the radial line OP are provided on the inner surface of the outer casing 5 near the steam outlet of the inner casing 3. A buffle plate 11 is provided over the steam outlet side of the inner casing 3 and the steam inlet tube 1 in the annular space 6.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the secondary stream loss by forming the bypass slot of an operating fluid on a diaphragm and providing its inlet port on the rear edge side of a stationary blade and its outlet port downstream the inlet port. CONSTITUTION:An opening section 25 is provided on the upper wall face of a lower diaphragm 2' at the outlet section of a stationary blade 1, and a bypass slot 15 introducing part of an operating fluid to an exhaust nozzle 19 is formed on a lower diaphragm 2'. In addition, an opening section is provided on the lower wall face of an upper diaphragm 2 at the outlet section of the stationary blade 1, and a bypass slot 14 spraying the operating fluid between seal fins 7, 7' is formed on the upper diaphragm 2. The secondary stream near diaphragm sidewalls is sucked and bypassed by the bypass slots 14, 15, thus the secondary stream loss can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a secondary flow loss by forming the surface of a base of each rotary blade in a curved surface following the shape of passage between blades as well as inserting a partition, with a curved surface of the same shape as that of said surface, between facing surfaces of adjacent bases. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a base 17 of each rotary blade is formed in a curved surface along a curved passage between blades. A partition 18 has a curved surface of the same shape as the base 17 of the rotary blade and its blade spanwise length is longer than that of said base 17. Rotary blades and partitions 18 are alternately fitted in treelike convex grooves 19a made along the outer circumference of a wheel disc 19 in such a manner as to stick fast to each other. Instead of the partitions 18, projecting plates may be provided blade spanwise from the bottom of the passage. Through these arrangements, any flow around side walls of rotary blades approaches a laminar flow to reduce a harmful secondary flow.
