CONSTITUTION:The power consumption, the amount of dust in a vacuum cleaner, etc., are judged, and a microcomputer 10 controls the power consumed by a motor-driven, blower 8. A display circuit 21 has a multi-color light emitting element 22 which varies the hue and is controlled by drive circuits 23, 24 in conformity to signals given by the microcomputer 10. When a fuzzy switch of operating switches in a hose at-hand part is pushed, a hose at-hand circuit 17 transmits a signal to the microcomputer 10, and the drive circuit 23 sends current only to the c-a electrodes in between of display element 22, and a light emitting element gives a green indication. When an 'intense' switch is pushed, current flows only to the c-b electrodes in between of the display element 22 to generate a red indication solely and when a static switch is pushed, current flows to both c-a and c-b to generate green and red indications resulting in appearing as orange.

CONSTITUTION:A detection value H detected from a pressure sensor 10 having a detecting part in a body passage is transmitted as a signal to a control circuit 9, and the control circuit 9 decides that cleaning is not executed at pressure or a suction port is sucked to the surface to be cleaned unless its detection value H is fluctuated in a prescribed period, and lowers the speed of revolution of a motor-driven air blower 2. In this case, simultaneously, the control circuit 9 decides that the suction port 8 is in a sucked state and a non-cleaning state, when the detection value H from the pressure sensor 10 is larger than or almost the same as an average value H0 of the detection value at the time of cleaning executed immediately before, and reduces the suction force by lowering remarkably the speed of revolution. When H>=0 or an absolute value ¦ H¦ of H is smaller than a prescribed value (a), power is lowered remarkably, comparing with the time of a state of A, and in addition to an effect of energy saving and a noise reduction, overheating of the motor-driven air blower 2 caused by suction of the suction port is prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the difference of power consumption of AC power sources of different frequencies as small as possible by reducing a power source voltage by a transformer and applying it to a controller. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 5 is inserted between an AC power source 1 and a rectifier 13. In other words, the transformer 15 reduces the voltage (100V) of the power source 1 to a voltage (e.g., 20-40V) of the degree which does not obstruct the operation of a trigger element 6, and outputs it to the rectifier 13. The low voltage is rectified by the rectifier 13, and applied to charger/ discharger 7, 8 for applying the voltage synchronized with the frequency of a power source to the element 6. As a result, since the difference of the power consumption by the frequency difference of 50 and 60Hz is reduced by the same circuit, when the circuit is associated in an electric device, it can be manufactured commonly in both 50/60Hz districts with the same circuit.
