    • PURPOSE:To raise the precision of fitting of a type head to a selecting axis and facilitate the preparation by engaging insert arms with an insert-retaining pin and molding all in a unitary body. CONSTITUTION:An upper mold 17 being removed, an insert 11 is fitted to an insert-retaining pin 15, a chipped part 16 being pressed against a plane 12. Each arm 13 is engaged with the insert-retaining pin 15. Under the condition, the upper mold 17 is put on a lower mold 14 and the synthetic resin is poured into the molds, thereby a type head being formed. Accordingly, the insert 11, being tightly pressed against the insert-retaining pin 15, is molded solidly with the resin. Therefore, the type-head being fitted to a selecting axis, the plane plate 12 is stuck fast to the chipped part of the selecting axis, while each arm 13 being stuck to the peripheral surface on the opposite side to the chipped part of the selecting axis. In this way, the part requiring the anti-abrasiveness is to be formed by a contact of metallic parts, which improves the anti-abrasiveness. In addition, since the sufficient fitting precision can be obtained by processing the insert-retaining pin with high precision, the processing can be facilitated.
