    • PURPOSE:To cause the load carrying portions of connecting rods to always receive the halves of the reaction of a steam regulating valve, by coupling the left-hand ends of upper levers for the regulating valve to servomotors through the connecting rods and a T-shaped block provided with a universal joint. CONSTITUTION:The cross sections of the left-hand ends of upper levers 29a, 29b for a stream regulating valve 22 are made oblong. The left-hand ends of the levers 29a,29b are fitted in recesses provided on a T-shaped block 43 so that load is carried by the shoulders of recessed portions of the block 43. The T-shaped block 43 contains a horizontal pin 40 whose central part is fitted with a universal joint 38. Two connecting rods 32a, 32b are coupled to each other by the pin 40 so that load carrying lines are united as a whole. The pin 40 is coupled to the levers 29a, 29b through the universal joint 38 in the block 43 so that the load carrying lines are divided again from each other. According to this constitution, the load carrying portions of the connecting rods 32a, 32b always receive the halves of the reaction of the regulating valve 22 when it is opened.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a high-reliability detection of position even in the atmosphere of a high temperature and high humidity and then reduce the number of the detection signal lines, by generating the prescribed plural signals according to the movement of the subject to be measured and then deciding the directivity of these signals for counting. CONSTITUTION:Three different types of signals arranged regularly and having the mutual discrimination property are generated from the detection part 1 and according to the movement of the measurement subject such as the rack. These signals are then converted into the voltage to be processed easily through the signal converters 2 and 3 to be supplied to the direction decider 4. The decider 4 delivers the pulse signals when the subject moves forward and backward. The signals of the forward and backward directions are counted by the adder/subtractor 7 to obtain the difference between both signals, and thus the count value with directivity added is delivered. This output count value is multiplied by the multiplier 8 by the unit extent of the movement of the subject to be measured corresponding to one of the count value, thus obtaining the total extent of the movement. As a result, the position of the subject can be detected.

    • PURPOSE:To enlarge the range of application of flaw detection to the welded part of piping without necessity of skill in inspection by a constitution wherein scanning of a probe is operated manually and the scanned position can be measured antomatically. CONSTITUTION:When a probe holder 9 is operated manually corresponding to a scanned position for flaw detection, a guide arm 6 is rolled out freely from an arm roll-up device 10. And, a rotary encoder 11 for detecting length detects the quantity of the length thereof and measures the position of a probe automatically. Meanwhile, the arm 6 conducting the scanning for flaw detection in the direction of circumference, while moving in the direction of length, turns in that direction together with a driving device 4'. The angle of its turn is detected by a potentiometer 17 for detecting angle retained by a support block 16 fitted to a truck 15. Moreover, the position of the driving device 4' on a rail 3 is detected and calculated by a rotary encoder 19. Since the scanned position on a complex curved pipe is detected automatically in this way, the range of application of the flaw detection can be enlarged without necessity of the higher skill in inspection.

    • PURPOSE:To execute a uniform plasma treatment by a method wherein two or more blowoff angles with reference to the surface of a material gas and a discharge gas are set and the blowoff angles are selected and adjusted from the outside in accordance with a kind of the gas to be used and with a size of a samples to be treated. CONSTITUTION:Microwaves 4 are introduced, through a waveguide 3, into a discharge tube 2 which is equipped with a field coil 1 at the outside; a gas 5 for plasma use which has been introduced into the discharge tube 2 is ionized by electron cyclotron resonance; a plasma is generated. The plasma is pushed out by a gradient of a magnetic field generated at the field coil 1 in the direction of a sample chamber 8; sample gases 9a-9c which have been introduced to the front of a sample 6 are excited or ionized by a plasma stream and transferred to the surface of the sample 6 as an active species; a thin film of a composition decided by the gas 5 for plasma use and by the material gases 9a-9c is formed on the surface of the sample 6. When blowoff angles are different for the individual material gases 9a-9c and a ratio of flow rates of them is selected appropriately, a film whose film formation speed and film quality are uniform can be formed on the surface of the specimen.
