    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular safety device capable of effectively reducing collision energy applied to an occupant.
      SOLUTION: During normal travel, a vehicle body 12 is attracted to an occupant space room 16 by an electromagnetic chuck 18. When a collision is predicted, the attraction by the electromagnetic chuck 18 is detached before an automobile is collided with a collision body. The occupant space room 16 is extruded in a backward direction opposite to the traveling direction before the automobile is collided with the collision body, and the speed of the occupant space room 16 is decelerated. When the vehicle body 12 is collided with the collision body via a vehicle body collision absorbing part 25, the occupant space room 6 is collided with the collision body while being decelerated by friction with the vehicle body 12. Further, during the collision, a shock is absorbed by a shock absorbing mechanism 22 provided at the front side of the occupant space room 16.
