    • PURPOSE:To increase the cooling capacity of a cooler ever so high, by installing a discharger, which produces ionic air with high voltage impressed, in the front of an intercooler of a supercharger engine. CONSTITUTION:Supercharging air out of a turbocharger 1 passes through a pipe 14, enters in an itercooler 2, and is cooled with running air or the like, entering in a suction manifold 6 by way of a pipe 61, then it is inhaled in each cylinder. At the front of a heat exchanger 21 of the intercooler 2, a discharger 3 provided with a lot of styluses is locked by means of coupling between brackets 33a and 24. The discharger 3 is impressed with high voltage via a high voltage rectifier 7 and made to do discharge between intercoolers 2 after an electric current out of a voltage terminal 9 is made into high voltage by a high voltage transformer 8. With this constitution, ionic air is produced whereby efficiency is yet more improved than in case of cooling by merely an air stream.
