    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an under cover fitting device for facilitating fitting work and simultaneously allowing an under cover to move in the face direction due to a temperature change such as heat contraction. SOLUTION: A stud is fixed to a designated position of the floor back of an automobile, a stud is passed through a fitting hole of the under cover, and a fixture is engaged with the stud to thereby fit the under cover to the floor back of the automobile. The fixture is composed of a first clip 7 having an outer cylinder part 10 inserted in the fitting hole 5, and a second clip 9 having an inner cylinder part 15 inserted in the outer cylinder part 10 and a locking claw 19 for stud engagement. The first clip 7 is provided with a flange 11 coming into contact with the under cover, and the second clip 9 is provided with a flange 17 coming into contact with the under cover when the inner cylinder part 15 is inserted in the outer cylinder part 10. Locking parts 13 and 23 are provided for connecting the first clip and the second clip to each other, and the flanges 11 and 17 clamp the under cover with designated clamping force enabling the movement in the face direction due to a temperature change of the under cover.     • PURPOSE:To effectively drain off the water stored in the gap between an outer panel and an inner panel outside a car by covering the exit end side of a weep bead with a guard piece that is formed by extending and bending the lower end flange of the outer panel. CONSTITUTION:A weep bead 6 is formed at the inclined bottom front end section of a gap 5 that is formed in a closed sectional bag-type form with a rear fender panel 40 and an inner panel 1 while it is connecting the inside and outside of a car body. A guard piece 42 formed by extending the lower end flange 41 of the rear fender panel 40 and almost bending it in a J-shaped form is arranged at th exit end 6a side of the weep bead 6 so as to cover the exit end 6a. Since the water flown and fallen in the gap 5 is drained off from the weep bead 6 outside the car body and the exit end 6a is covered with the guard piece 42, the splash from rear wheels can be prevented from flowing back and intruding into the gap 5.

    • PURPOSE:To promote running stability while satisfying the demand of cost down by covering a very uneven part present on the lower face of the floor, with a cover from the underside, to lessen the air resistance. CONSTITUTION:A cover 6 is provided not to expose a propeller shaft 2 outside, especially to shut out air stream disturbance following the rotation of the shaft 2. A stream line is formed below the floor. As an exhaust tube 3 is also covered by te cover 6, accordingly raising of the fuel temperature in a fuel tube 9 caused by exhaust heat of the exhaust tube 3 is prevented, and vapor lock can be prevented in advance. As the whole tunnel part 4 is blocked out by a cover 6, rust to be generated on the tipping etc. of the tunnel part 4, can be prevented. Moreover, car noise can be reduced by blocking out the rotational noise of a propeller shaft 2.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a lower cover for the lower surface of an engine compartment, having high sound-absorption and no deterioration in corrosion-resistant and sound-absorption capabilities, by consituting the lower cover with a synthetic resin body formed therein with sound-absorbing chambers, and a sound- absorbing member comprising a water-proof film, for covering the sound-absorbing chambers. CONSTITUTION:A lower cover body 1 is formed with several sound-absorbing chambers 6 and is made of synthetic resin. A sound absorbing member 7 comprising a sound absorbing material 8 provided with a water-proof film 9 is attached to the upper surface of the lower cover body 1 so that the sound-abosrbing chambers 6 are covered. With this arrangement, sounds from an engine are damped by transmission and reflection as indicated by the arrows, thereby noises are reduced.
