    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve welding work efficiency in a simple configuration, while increasing welding strength between a front plate and an impeller blade without performing phase (angle) matching. SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a resin impeller includes: providing the frustoconical front plate 1 made of a hard synthetic resin, which has a plurality of pin gate traces 11 on an inner surface 1b except at a radially outer end portion thereof and a plurality of pushpin traces 12 on an upper surface 1c both formed on their respective circumferences; and providing the impeller blade 2 with upper surfaces of unit impeller blade plates 21 made of a hard synthetic resin extending in a plurality of radial directions, formed as impeller blade tip surfaces 21a, and with sharp-pointed ridge-like protrusions 4 having an acute upper end and a width less than a width of the impeller blade tip surface being integrally formed on the impeller blade tip surfaces. The method also includes placing the front plate 1 on the impeller blade 2 and bringing the ends of the sharp-pointed ridge-like protrusions 4 and the inner surface 1b of the front plate 1 into contact with each other. The method further includes giving energy to increase temperature while applying an appropriate pressing force between the front plate 1 and the impeller blade 2, and melting the sharp-pointed ridge-like protrusions 4 to weld the front plate 1 to the impeller blade 2.
