    • PURPOSE:To provide the titled device capable of detecting abnormality in arrangement of steel cords without any erroneous action, wherein the arrangement of steel cord embedded in a steel-reinforced sheet is detected for each of the cord by Hall elements, and arranging pitch and end number are inspected. CONSTITUTION:A measuring device 1 is provided on a feeding passage for the steel-reinforced sheet 5 in which steel cords 6 are embedded at preset intervals. The rotation of the roller 20 is transmitted to a rotary encoder provided in the velocity-detecting part 3 to detect the velocity of the sheet 5. Differential outputs from the elements 10, 11 and velocity data on the sheet 5 are inputted into a calculating circuit to detect the pitch and the end number of the steel cords 6 embedded in the sheet 5.
