    • PURPOSE:To shorten the time for correcting the shape of a tooling device, by providing with a correcting device for shaping the peripheral surface of said tooling device approximately in a circular shape without eccentricity, bringing the correcting tool of said device into contact with said tooling device. CONSTITUTION:A super abrasive grain grindstone wheel 16 is axially supported by a grinding stone table through a grinding stone shaft 17 and driven by a motor 18 by means of a belt 19 and pulley. Meanwhile, a correcting device 30 is slidably installed on a tooler table in the P direction crossing the tooler shaft 2. Here, a tooling device 21 is mounted on a tooler shaft 22 according to the conventional way and driven rotatingly, then the correcting tool 32 of a correcting device 30 is brought into contact with the peripheral surface 21a of the tooling device 21, thus the peripheral surface 21a is shaped approximately in a circular shape without eccentricity. This time, appropriate material can be selected for the correcting tool 32 as used exclusively for correction, therefore the time for correcting the tooling device 21 can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To make effective dressing of grinding stone corners which will be the grinding points of the grinding stone for groove grinding or end part grinding. CONSTITUTION:Free abrasive grain of dressing liquid supplied through an upper nozzle 9 between a dressing roll 3 and a grinding stone G in contraposition is held by being received by a shielding plate 11 without immediate escape to a lateral side. Therefore, bond lapping at a corner part of the grinding stone G to form a clearance t1 which is smaller than the size of the free abrasive grain is effectively done, and dressed for a short lapse of time. And, since the lateral side of the grinding stone G covered by the shielding plate 11 has a clearance t2 formed rather larger than the size of the free abrasive grain, the free abrasive grain passes through the lateral side of the grinding stone G without dressing, resulting in giving no change on the size of the groove width at the time of grinding a groove of the work. Besides, for extending the life of the roll 3, if the same width of an escaping groove 14 in contraposition to an escaping groove 13 on the side of the grinding stone G is formed on the side of the roll 3, the life can be multicatively increased.
