    • PURPOSE:To carry-out the connection operation between the installation ring part of an anchor arm and a torque tube in a high efficiency by integrally forming an uneven part for stopping on the inner peripheral surface of the installation ring part and allowing the torque tube onto which the ring part is fitted to bite into the uneven part through spreading the diameter of the torque tube by means of a pressing and widening member. CONSTITUTION:A torsion spring apparatus which is applied for a suspension apparatus for car is constituted of a torque tube 1 and a torsion bar 2 which is inserted into the tube 1 and connected to said tube 1 at one edge, and an anchor arm 4 is installed onto the torque tube. In installation of this anchor arm 4, an annular thick part 7 is formed on the inner surface of the torque tube 1 beforehand, and an uneven part 5 for stopping is integrally formed on the inside surface of the installation ring parg 4b of the anchor arm. After these members 4 and 1 are held by molds 10 and 11, the tube 1 is deformed by pressurizing the pressing and widening member 12 inserted into the tube 1 and allowed to bite into the uneven part 5.
