    • PURPOSE:To prevent the detection mistake of a regenerative signal by providing a gain switching section switching a gain of a pre-stage circuit of an automatic gain control amplifier receiving a regenerative signal regenerated from a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A filter circuit 1 eliminates noise at the outside of a required frequency band from an inputted regenerative signal S1 and an output signal S2 of the filter circuit 1 eliminating noise is inputted to a 1st stage amplifier 2. Moreover, the filter circuit 1 is connected to a gain switching circuit 9 being a gain switching section. An output signal 2a amplified by the 1st stage amplifier 2 is inputted to an automatic gain control AGC amplifier 4 via an attenuator circuit 3. The gain switching section increases the gain of the 1st stage amplifier of an AGC amplifier 4 when the information of the control track of a recording medium is reproduced. Thus, the amplitude of the regenerative signal regenerated from the control track of the recording medium with a small light reflectance is increased to prevent detection mistake of the regenerative signal.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent generation of an abnormal clock by providing an error detection and correction means for detecting and correcting an error of a recording signal and a means for switching a range keeping synchronization with the recording signal of an automatic phase control circuit depending on the verified read time and the normal reproduction time. CONSTITUTION:When the response speed is fast, the titled device is sensitive to external noises and causes easily an abnormal clock. In increasing the natural frequency at the verify read time more than that at the normal reproduction time, the abnormal clock at the normal reproduction is prevented. Further, the inherent frequency is increased, then the synchronization keeping range is widened. Thus, a switch 22 in an automatic phase control circuit 17 is changed over to be connected to a capacitor C2 at the reproduction or a switch 23 is clanged over to the position of a resistor R4, then the range of keeping the inherent frequency and the synchronization is widened and the circuit 17 is more sensitive to noise due to decentering an optical disc 8 or noise due to aging deterioration of the optical disc 8 than that at the normal reproduction. Thus, the abnormal clock is prevented and the probability of mis-reproduction is minimized.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the hardware of an NRZ system coding system with excellent capability by converting a binary data string into a code string where an NRZ code and an NRZI code are mixed in converting the binary data string into a prescribed transmission line code string. CONSTITUTION:In converting original data 8 bits into a 10-bit code string, for example, an original signal inputted to a terminal 1 is converted into an 8-bit data by a serial/parallel shift register 2. An output of the register 2 is converted into a 10-bit code by a pattern converting section 4, and in this case, the code logics 1, 0 of the head bit are converted into an NRZ code having logical 1, 0 and the remaining 9 bits are converted into a converted X code string of an NRZI code having a logic inverted by a code logic 1. The code string and the inverted back pattern are switched for the head bit only by a changeover SW5, latched by one block section at a delay 6, become serial data by a parallel/serial shift register, become a desired NRZ code string by a converter 15 and outputted to a terminal 9. A latched signal enters a CDS integrated value 7 to control the next pattern changeover SW5.
