摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the operating efficiency of an inverter means and the reliability of a switch element by limiting the frequency sweep range of an LC resonance circuit for generating high voltage to a preset value not to use the resonance frequency voltage. CONSTITUTION:When the lighting of a discharge lamp 5 is started, the DC voltage of a DC power source 1 is converted into AC voltage by an inverter circuit 2 and fed to a resonance circuit constituted of a choke coil 3 and a capacitor 4. The resonance frequency and resonance voltage of the resonance output are detected by a resonance frequency detecting circuit 6 and a resonance voltage detecting circuit 7 respectively, the inverter circuit 2 is controlled by a control means 9, the minimum value of the sweep frequency is made higher than the resonance frequency in the high frequency range in which the resonance circuit becomes inductive, the maximum value of the sweep frequency is made lower than the resonance frequency in the low frequency range in which the resonance circuit becomes capacitive, and the sweep frequency is limited outside the resonance frequency. The operating efficiency of the inverter circuit 2 and the reliability of a switch element are improved.

The oscillation frequency of the inverter is thus controlled.

摘要： PURPOSE:To rapidly raise light output in the initial lighting-on to the target rated value of the light output by having a neural network learned, with an input value and an output value considered as learning signals, so as to control the supply power or current to a high pressure discharge lamp. CONSTITUTION:The supply power or current from an AC power supply 1 in a high pressure discharge lamp 3 is varied by having a neural network 5 and 19 learned with an input value and an output value considered as learning signals. Namely, by inputting the illuminance of the lamp at the time-of-day t and the illuminance at the time-of-day DELTAt thereafter in the neural network which has finished the learning process, the signal to a programmable counter at the time-of-day t, required to arrive at the target illuminance, is calculated. Thus, the input/output characteristic of the lamp is converted into the quantity called the weight of the synapse so as to store it in a memory 23, so that the signal required to gain a certain illuminance, i.e., the inverse function of the input/output function, can be obtained. Consequently, in the initial lighting-on, a light output can be forced to rapidly reach the rated value without depending on characteristics of an individual lamp.

摘要： PURPOSE:To avoid the dangerous state such as a headlamp going out at the beam switching time even with the late rising time of the lamp by outputting lighting command signals respectively to a first high frequency lighting circuit and a second high frequency lighting circuit in the mutually overlapped state. CONSTITUTION:In high frequency lighting circuits 8, 10, the operating frequency of a generating part 11 and a driving circuit 12 is changed by a lighting frequency setting part 16 according to a lamp voltage signal (e), and high resonance voltage is generated to a condenser C2 by the condensers C1, C2, C3 and a choke coil L1 at high frequency of approximately 100KHz, for instance, so as to start a first lamp 7 or a second lamp 9. When the starting of the lamp 7 or 9 is detected by a lamp lighting detecting part 14, the lamp 7 or 9 is lighted, after its starting, by the choke coil L1 at low frequency of approximately 10KHz, for instance. In case low resonance voltage is not detected within the set time from the starting time, a starting pulse stop part 17 outputs a pulse stop signal (h) to the generating part 11 to stop the starting.
