    • PURPOSE:To obtain a TV signal having high quality by improving picture quality by means of an auxiliary signal and considerably removing noise in the low frequency part of the auxiliary signal with the use of a filter removing the low component of a [vertical-time] frequency in the auxiliary signal. CONSTITUTION:A separation circuit 1 separates a transmission signal T in a jump scan form transmitted from a transmission side, into a main signal VM an the auxiliary signal VT, and they are demodulated in demodulation circuits 2 and 3. Then, they are converted into sequential scan forms in sequential scan conversion circuits 4 and 5. An auxiliary signal f-v frequency inhibition filter 6 removes noise and an adder 7 adds it to the main signal so as to display it in a monitor 8. In such a case, the filter for removing the low frequency component of the [vertical-time] frequency of the auxiliary signal, namely, the f-v low frequency inhibition filter, is used. Thus, picture quality by the auxiliary signal is improved while the noise of the low frequency component in the auxiliary signal can considerably is removed.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the deterioration in a reproduced picture when a still picture is consecutive for a long time by providing a means detecting a 5-field period of the result of movement detection, a means storing a period detection result, and a means generating a signal of the same period according to the result of period detection to the title detection circuit. CONSTITUTION:After the detection of inter-frame movement, a 5 field period detection circuit 7 detects a 5 field period being the result of movement detection and when only one 'still field' without difference between frames is in existence in 5 field periods, the picture is used as a tele-cine picture, when no 'still field' is in existence, the picture is used as a general picture and the mode is stored in a storage circuit 8. When plural 'still fields' are in existence, the mode before reaching the still picture state is read from the storage circuit 8. Furthermore, when the tele-cine picture is confirmed, a self-running circuit 9 is triggered to generate a signal of 5 field periods and it is used for a reference phase in the case of a still picture causing unstable field phase. Thus, the deterioration in the reproduced picture is less when the still picture is consecutive for a long time.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the influence of transmission distortion, etc., and to prevent malfunction by regenerating the reference phase of a subcarrier according to the phase relation of a chrominance subcarrier when the subcarrier has a maximal or minimal value. CONSTITUTION:When digital signal processing is performed at the time of sampling a received signal at 4fsc four times as high as the chrominance subcarrier, a received television signal is converted by an A/D converting circuit 1 into a digital signal of 4fsc. A timing extracting circuit 8, on the other hand, extracts fsc and 4fsc, and horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals HD and VD necessary for signal processing. A line control circuit 4 specifies scanning lines of the HD and VD signal where the subcarrier mu0 is inserted and a mu0 regenerating circuit 5 generates a subcarrier mu0 in said period according to the phase relation between the maximal point of the subcarrier mu0 and fsc. A decoder circuit 3 uses those signals to generate a luminance signal Y and color difference signals I and Q by demodulation.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a picture with improved color resolution by adopting the same frequency and modulation system of a chrominance subcarrier wave as those of the existing system and widening the band of a chrominance carrier signal more than the band of the existing system to widen the demodulation band of a color difference signal. CONSTITUTION:A luminance signal is given to an input terminal 1, color difference signals I,Q are given to input terminals 2, 3 and a luminance signal Y is fed to a final adder circuit 10 via a delay circuit 9. Further, the color difference signals I, Q are fed to balancing modulators 13, 18 via LPFs 11, 14 and delay lines 12, 15 and fed to a color signal adder circuit 21. A system selection signal U/N is added to an input terminal 8 and in case of the system improving color resolution, the output of a delay circuit 15 is fed to the modulator 18 from a changeover switch 17, and in case of the existing NTSC system, the output of the LPF 16 is fed to the balancing modulator 18. Moreover, in this system, the output of the delay circuit 23 is given to the final adder circuit 10 by the system selection signal U/N and the output of the LPF 22 in case of the NTSC system is fed to the circuit 10.
