    • PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized heat exchanger for use in a developing type radiator, having no leakage of a fluid by providing a pipe for a high-temperature fluid from a heat generating source adjacent to a pipe for a low-temperature fluid from a radiator part, and thermally coupling in a tight manner adjacent pipes with a material having a high heat conductivity after developing the radiator thereby to improve the heat transfer between the pipes. CONSTITUTION:A metal block 22 penetrating through a metal block 21 is disposed rotatably. A solid material 25 having a high heat conductivity is sealed in a vessel 24, and a heater 6 is provided around the vessel 24. A pipe 2 for use in a high-temperature fluid is integrally formed with the metal block 21 and a pipe 6 for a low-temperature fluid with the metal block 22. After developing a radiator port 8, the high heat conductive substance 25 is molten and evaporated. Vapor from the high heat conductive substance 25 adheres to the wall of a space 23 kept at a temperature which is lower than that of the vessel 24 and is solidified. Accordingly, the high heat conductive substance 25 moves into the space 23 and fills in the vessel 24 to increase the heat transfer rate between the metal blocks 21 and 22.

    • PURPOSE:To cause no shifting of solar ray collection even in the changes of configuration of various parts of a solar ray collector, which occurs at the installation of the solar ray collector or results from secular fluctuation or the like, and consequently make the adjustment of a tracking mechanism for solar ray collection unnecessary so as to obtain a sun tracking solar ray collector with simple structure by a method wherein light detectors, which are installed with different angles one another and outputs of which are inputted to dividers respectively, are employed. CONSTITUTION:The outputs of two light detectors 11 and 12, which are installed with different angles each other, are inputted to a divider 14 so as to obtain the value of the output of the detector 11 divided by that of the detector 12 in order to input the outputted value to a calculating board 18. In addition, another light detector 13 is installed with different angle from the installation angles of the light detectors 11 and 12. The outputs of the light detectors 11 and 13 are inputted to a divider 15 so as to obtain the value of the output of the detector 11 divided by that of the detector 13 in order to input the outputted value to the calculating board 18. The direction of the sun (elvation alpha and azimuth beta of the sun) can be calculated by the calculating board 18 based upon the outputs sent from the dividers 14 and 15.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a heat pipe from being broken due to freezing of water, by a method wherein wicks are discontinuously placed to dispersely hold water after the operation of a heat pipe is stopped, so that there are sufficient spaces for absording the volume expansion of water when water is frozen. CONSTITUTION:The heat pipe 1 in which water 6 serving as a heat-transmitting medium is sealed consists of a heat-receiving part 2, a heat-radiating part 3 and a heat- insulating part 7, and a plurality of cylindrical wicks 4 are provided in contact with the inside wall of the heat pipe 1 in a discontinuous manner at one or more parts in the axial direction of the heat pipe 1. The length 8 of the wick 4 varies depending on the head of the capillary tube of the wick. For example, when a copper-made net of 100 mesh is used as the wick, the lenght 8 of the wick is set to be about 25-50mm., and the length of each of gaps 5 is set to be about 5-15mm.. When the heat pipe is operated, water held in each of the wicks is evaporated, transfers heat to the heat- radiating part 3, is condensed in the part 3, and condensed water is returned to the lowermost part of the pipe while replenishing water. When the operation of the heat pipe is stopped, water is dispersely held in the wicks, so that the heat pipe is not broken even when water is frozen.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the selective adsorbing surface of a heat collecting plate from deterioration resulting from the surface being overheated by the radiant heat of the sun by a method wherein in the titled heat collector in which a heat collecting body is sealed in a vaccum glass tube, a reflecting plate is arranged between a part of the glass tube to be heated at the time of vacuum sealing and the heat collecting body. CONSTITUTION:The heat collecting body comprising a heat collecting plate 2 and a heat collecting pipe 3 is sealed in the vacuum glass tube 1. In this case, the reflecting plate 6 in the form of a plain aluminum disk is provided between the heat collecting plate 2 and a vacuum sealing end 5 of the glass tube 1 so that the selective adsorbing surface of the heat collecting plate 2 is protected against the radiant heat of the sun at the time of vacuum sealing the heat collecting body in the glass tube 1 and as a secondary effect, sunlight reflects on the reflecting plate 6 to become incident on the heat collecting plate 2 to thereby increase the heat collecting efficiency of the plate 2. Further, a second reflecting plate 7 is provided on the front surface of a header 4 so that sunlight reflects on the reflecting plate 7 to become incident on the heat collecting plate 6 to thereby increase the heat collecting efficiency of the plate 6, too.
