    • PURPOSE:To improve commutation performance, by setting the turn ratio of the number of the turns of a front coil to the number of the turns of a rear coil, to be 1.6-3.2, and by selecting brush resistivity according to the ratio. CONSTITUTION:In an AC commutator motor for a vacuum cleaner, field windings 32 are excited by desired output via an input controller 3, and current is permitted to flow to an armature winding 24 via a commutator 26 through brushes 28, and the fan of a shaft 16 is rotated. On this motor, an armature core 20 is fixed on the shaft 16 and in the slot 18 of the core 20, the armature winding 24 is wound up. At one end of the shaft 16, the commutator 26 is fixed and is permitted to come in contact with the brushes 28 pressed by elastic units 29 in brush retainers 31. In this case, the ratio of the number of the turns of a front coil side to the number of the turns of a rear coil side is selected to be 1.6-3.2, and the resistivity of brush members is set to be (2-8.2)X10 muOMEGA-cm. Then, even if input is increased, the commutation performance of coils can be uniformed.

    • PURPOSE:To suppress the difference of power consumption of AC power sources of different frequencies as small as possible by reducing a power source voltage by a transformer and applying it to a controller. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 5 is inserted between an AC power source 1 and a rectifier 13. In other words, the transformer 15 reduces the voltage (100V) of the power source 1 to a voltage (e.g., 20-40V) of the degree which does not obstruct the operation of a trigger element 6, and outputs it to the rectifier 13. The low voltage is rectified by the rectifier 13, and applied to charger/ discharger 7, 8 for applying the voltage synchronized with the frequency of a power source to the element 6. As a result, since the difference of the power consumption by the frequency difference of 50 and 60Hz is reduced by the same circuit, when the circuit is associated in an electric device, it can be manufactured commonly in both 50/60Hz districts with the same circuit.

In an air passage communicatively connecting the dust chamber and the electric blower, the entrance side central axis of the air passage is arranged nearer the brush chamber side than the central axis parallel with the longitudinal direction of the suction opening of the dust chamber.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress circulating flow through an air tight member by forming an outer surface cut at a distnace of a radius R from a rotary center of a centrifugal fan on an air flow-in part of a front plate. SOLUTION: A tip end part of a front plate 21 is cut at a distance of a radius R from a nearly center 34 of a rotary shaft hole so as to form an oiuter surface 33. When a centrifugal fan around a rotary shaft 36 is rotated, a distance between the rotary shaft 36 and the outer surface 33 is held coinstantly at every points on a circumference. Accordingly, abrasion of a seal member caused by rotary sliding of a seal part 37 is not increased. Namely, the relation of a distance 11, 12 between the rotary shaft 36 and the right and left outer surfaces is 11=12. In this case, the relation of the thickness t1, t2 of the seal part 37 is t1≠t2 in the normal case. The inner surface of the air flow-in part 32 is cut, and thereby, the relation between the thickness t1, t2 is t1=t2. It is thus possible to suppress abrasion of the seal member, and it is also possible to reduce a leakage air quantity.
