    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device of treating a waste containing an organic solid contaminated substance capable of efficiently converting the organic solid contaminated substance into a more treatable solubilizable organic substance in treating the waste containing the organic solid contaminated substances by utilizing bioelectrogenesis technology. SOLUTION: The waste 1 containing the organic solid contaminated substance is stored in a raw water storage tank 2 and is sent to a solubilization tank 3 by operating a liquid feed pump. The waste 1 is converted into a solubilization treated liquid containing a solubilization organic substance by any one of a mechanical solubilization treatment by a mechanical crushing by a stone mill, a mill or the like or ultrasonic wave crushing, a physical solubilization treatment by steaming or crushing by explosion, a solubilization treatment by hydrothermal electrolysis, a solubilization treatment by chemical substances such as acid, alkali, ozone, hydrochlorous acid, and hydrogen peroxide in the tank 3. The solubilization treated liquid is supplied to an anaerobic area 5a of a bioelectric generating device 5 through a pipe 4 by the liquid feed pump. In the device 5, the solubilizable organic substance is decomposed and treated while power is being generated by oxidation reaction and reduction reaction of oxygen by an electrode-active microorganism.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating waste water containing an organic high molecular substance utilizing a biological power generation technique, capable of efficiently decomposing the organic high molecular substance into a decomposed organic low molecular substance which is easier to treat. The treated waste water is delivered by a pump to an anaerobic area 5a in a biological power generation device 5, in which power is generated while solubilized organic substance is treated through decomposition via the reduction reaction by oxygen and the oxidation reaction by electrode-active microorganisms.
