    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To visually recognize display information from the front by providing a half mirror to which an optical rotator rotated by a specified angle is stuck to between an eye point and a display surface. SOLUTION: A case 6 stores an indicator 1 to whose front a polarizing plate 2 that polarizes to an S wave is stuck, a half mirror 4 which has rotating film 3 stuck to the rear and forms a reflection film on the topmost surface on the side of the indicator and an image pick means such as a CCD. The means 5 is arranged so as to be directly in front of an eye point 8 and the mirror 3 is arranged tilted so as to have the angle made with a wire connecting the point 8 to the means 5 to be 90 deg. minrss the Breevster angle. When the indicator is arranged so that the angle made with the wire connecting the point 8 to the means 5 is an angle that is doubles the Browster angle in the emitting direction of the display information, the angle of incidence θ to the half mirror of display information becomes equal to the Breewster angle.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make double images invisible in spite of having a simple structure by irradiating sandwich glass formed by successively laminating an rotary polarization element layer, translucent reflection layer, and rotary polarization element layer with a light formed by polarizing the display information from a display to P waves at an angle near a Brewster angle, reflecting this light and displaying the information on the display side. SOLUTION: Outdoor side sheet glass 1 consists of the rotary polarization element layer 2, translucent reflection layer 3, rotary polarization element layer 4, indoor side sheet glass 1', and an intermediate film 5. When the display light contg. both of an S wave and P wave is emitted from the display 7 arranged to make the display information incident on the sandwich glass 6 at the Brewster angle (θ=56.6 deg.) by the display 7 and a P polarizing means 8, the light polarized to the P wave by the P polarizing means 8 arrives at the indoor side sheet glass 1' and the light of the entire quantity is made incident on the inside of the sandwich glass. This light is optically rotated to the S wave by the rotary polarization element layer 4 and arrives at the translucent reflection layers 3 where the S wave is optically rotated to the P wave and arrives at the boundary of the indoor side sheet glass 1' and the air. The entire quantity is visually recognized by the driver's eyes 9 and the total quantity of the one light turns to the P wave.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly stick an optical rotator element to a prescribed location on a transparent platy body by discriminating the position of the rotator element by seeing the rotator element through a second polarizing plate provided on the opposite side of a first polarizing plate when the rotator element is moved to the prescribed location by holding the rotator element while the first polarizing plate is positioned at a reference position. SOLUTION: A first polarizing plate 5 is stuck to a transparent substrate 2 after the part of the plate 5 is punched off by the width of the section formed of the maximum and minimum allowable external sizes against the reference position of an optical rotator 1. A second polarizing plate 7, the polarizing direction of which is parallel or perpendicular to that of the first polarizing plate 5, is mounted on the front end of a video camera 8 and positioned. Then, the rotator element 1 is put on the rotator element sticking spot of the transparent substrate 2 with a robot arm 9 and whether or not the rotator element 1 is at a prescribed position is judged by turning on an electric lamp 6 and taking the picture of the rotator element 1 with a video camera 8, and then, processing the gradation video of the rotator element 1 and judging whether or not black and gray parts continue over the full circumference of the rotator 1. After it is confirmed that the rotator 1 is at the prescribed position, the rotator 1 is stuck to the substrate 2.

    • PURPOSE: To make double images invisible and to improve the luminance of display images by laminating a translucent reflection film on the room side surface of a polarization direction adjusting film and forming an antireflection film on the surface of room side sheet glass. CONSTITUTION: The translucent reflection film 5 is laminated on the room side surface of the polarization direction adjusting film 3 and antireflection films 2 are formed on the surfaces of room side sheet glass, 1, 1'. The light polarized to an S wave by an S polarizing means 11 first arrives at the room side sheet glass 1 when display light of driving information, etc., including the S wave and P wave is emitted from a display means 10. The antireflection film 2 exists on the surface and, therefore, the light is hardly reflected an almost the entire quantity of the light is made incident on the inside of sandwich glass 9. The light is reflected by the translucent reflection film 5 and is visibly observed by the driver's eyes 12. On the other hand, the light past the translucent reflection film 5 is polarized to the P wave by the polarization direction adjusting film 3 and is made incident on the outdoor side sheet glass. This light is emitted from the rear surface of the glass or the exit angle is a Brewster angle at the boundary and, therefore, the light is not reflected at all and the whole quantity is emitted as the P wave. The double images does not arise at all.

    • PURPOSE: To decrease the quantity of direct sunshine without darkening the interior of a room, to suppress the incidence of the sunshine and to assure an external visual field by freely turnably disposing plural sheets of long-sized vanes formed by laminating hologram sheets recorded with first and second diffraction gratings. CONSTITUTION: Plural sheets of the long-sized vanes 3 formed by laminating the hologram sheets 1 recorded with first diffraction gratings for diffracting the sunshine and the second diffraction gratings for display are freely turnably arranged on a transparent plate 2. The sunshine advances nearly rectilinearly like a dotted line T1 in the case of the absence of the vane plates 3 if the sunshine is made incident on plural sheets of the vane plates 3 long in a horizontal direction formed by laminating the hologram sheets 1 on the transparent plate 2 in the case of using the louver for light collection but there are the vane plates 3 laminated with the hologram sheets 1 and, therefore, the sunshine is diffracted so as to be specularly reflected by the first diffraction gratings. The first diffraction gratings are merely necessitated to be diffracted outside the room if the louver is used for light shielding.
