    • PURPOSE:To improve the heat storaging property by a wall structure wherein resin foam is employed as a core material, on one side of which concrete, metal plate and the like are provided as a body, while on the other side of which a polymer cement layer with polymer cement mortar layer as a part thereof is provided. CONSTITUTION:The titled tank is equipped with walls consisting in cementing an outer body 11 composed of metal plate, concrete and the like, resin foam heat insulator 13, hardened substance of polymer cement composition 16 and hardened substance of polymer cement mortar composition 17 in the order named in the direction of wall thickness from the outside to the inside of the tank. In this case, the polymer cement composition 16 consists of aqueous resin emulsion, the film-forming temperature of which is below 10 deg.C, and hydraulic cement (80-400pts.wt. of which is blended to 100pts.wt. of the solid content of resin in said emulsion). The polymer cement mortar composition 17 consists of aqueous resin emulsion, the film-forming temperature of which is below 10 deg.C, and hydraulic cement (200-600pts.wt. of which is blended to 100pts.wt. of the solid content of resin in said emulsion). Furthermore, 100-300pts.wt. of fine aggregate is blended to 100pts.wt. of said hydraulic cement.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the discoloration of dibromodicyanobutane, emission of stimulant odor, corrosion of the apparatus, and the agglomeration of the product, by washing dibromodicyanobutane with water and then with a specific aqueous solution of an inorganic salt.
      CONSTITUTION: A dibromodicyanobutane (e.g. 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane) can be purified by washing with an aqueous solution of a compound containing alkali metal, alkaline earth metal or ammonium ion as the cationic component and an oxygen-containing anion (e.g. nitrate radical, sulfate radical, etc.) as the anionic component at 0W70°C, preferably 10W40°C. The concentration of the solution is 0.01W50wt%, preferably 0.1W5wt%.
      USE: Useful as a synthetic intermediate of agricultural chemicals and pharmaceuticals. Especially, 1,2-dibromo-2,4-dicyanobutane is useful as an antiseptic and a mildewproofing agent.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the charge-and-discharge property by using a mixture of ethylene glycol dialkyl ether having asymmetric construction and a specific organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The present invention can be expressed by a general formula ( I ) R1-O-CH2-CH2-O-R2... ( I ) (provided that R1 and R2 are respectivey alkyl radicals having different constructions) and when using a mixture of ethylene glycol dialkyl ether having asymmetric construction and either of propylene carbonate, ethylene carbonate, gamma-butyrolactone, tetrahydrofuran, 1,3-diolasorane, 2-methyl tetrahydrofuran and sulforan, the polarization of the negative pole of a lithium secondary battery can be remarkably reduced. A metal compound or the like such as niobium, molybdenum and tantalum can be used as a positive active material in addition to MnO2, (CF)n, TiS2, TiO2, V2O5 and WS2. Further, electrolyte salt containing Li such as LiClO4, LiBF4, LiPF6 and LiAsF6 can be used as inorganic electrolyte salt while being combined with the solvent of the present invention.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the low temperature discharge property while lowering polarization of a negative pole by using a mixed solvent containing more than one kind of ethylene glycol dialkyl ether having a specific construction. CONSTITUTION:In an organic solvent battery making a light metal like lithium or the like to be a positive pole active material while using a nonaqueous organic solvent, the polarization of the negative pole of the battery can be remarkably reduced by using a mixed solvent, which can be expressed by a general formula ( I ), R1-O-CH2-CH2-CH2-O-R2...( I ) (provided that R1 and R2 are respectively alkyl radicals having no same construction) while containing at least one kind of ethylene glycol dialkyl ether [electrolyte (A)] having an asymmetrical construction. The desirable construction of said R1 and R2 is that in which the total carbon number is 3-8 while most desirably 3-5. Those having the total carbon number exceeding 8 can be also used while not being desirable due to high viscosity as the solvent. Inorganic electrolyte salt able to be used in combination with the solvent of this invention is that containing Li such as LiClO4, LiBF4, LiPF6 and LiAsF6, for instance, in the case of the negative pole of Li.
