    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation controller of an electric generator which can start an output voltage smoothly and surely prevent hunching from arising in the course from starting until the output voltage of the electric generator reaches a rated voltage.SOLUTION: An excitation controller of an electric generator comprises: a voltage setting device 2 which sets a voltage set value Vs used as a control target of the output voltage of the electric generator 13; and a voltage detection control device 5 as voltage matching means which controls an excitation current of the electric generator 13 so that a difference voltage ΔV between a voltage set value Vs wich is set in the voltage setting device 2 and an actual output voltage Vr of the electric generator 13 may be small, and matches the voltage set value Vs set in the voltage setting device 2 with the actual output voltage Vs of the electric generator at the time of starting start-up of the output voltage of the electric generator 13.
