摘要： PURPOSE:To improve disengagement of a friction clutch by constituting same such that a brake disc is provided in the rear of and adjacent to a presser plate and a spring is provided behind the brake disc to permit the brake disc to be retracted to brake the presser plate. CONSTITUTION:A case 11 behind a presser plate 7 has projections 12 provided thereon and has a brake disc 13 slidably inserted therein. A belleville spring 14 is inserted behind the brake disc 13, which is mounted, together with the spring 14, in position in the case 11 by means of a circlip 15. According to such constitution, in disengaging the clutch, a strong push on a push rod 10 moves the presser plate 7 to be engaged at its rear face with the brake disc 7 and be slightly braked thereby so that rotation of the presser plate 7 and hence of a sleeve hub 5 is slowed down whereupon there appears a difference of rotation between driving friction discs 4 and driven friction discs 6 thereby assuring disengagement of both friction discs 4 and 6 from each other, thus assuring disengagement of the clutch. Since the brake disc 13 can be moved against the spring 14 so that a light braking force can be adjustably obtained, the presser plate 7 is prevented from stopping suddenly during rotation.
