    • PURPOSE:To store methane gas safely and inexpensively, by leading the methane gas into a vessel being filled up with metallic hydride particles. CONSTITUTION:Methane gas is led into a vessel being filled up with metallic hydride particles. With this constitution, part of the methane gas is decomposed whereby hydrogen is absorbed in a metallic hydride for storage, while carbon is adsorbed on the surface of the metallic hydride, and the residual methane gas is as well adsorbed on the surface of the metallic hydride and simultaneously filled up between dead spaces and stored. Therefore, the methane gas can safely and inexpensively stored.
