    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding method wherein paper board positioning work in gluing work and pasting work in the process of pasting a front cover piece on a paper board and pasting an end paper is reduced.
      SOLUTION: The front cover piece 4 is pasted to the paper boards 1 to 3 having both surfaces coated with a hot-melt adhesive by heating/melting the adhesive to make a front cover. The end paper which is folded double, one face of one side of which is coated with the adhesive and which is stuck on a release sheet 10 is superposed, and a signature 5 bound by pasting a backing paper 8 on the rear face is enclosed with the front cover, and a groove 14 is formed with a cutting nipper. Then, the release sheet 10 stuck on the end paper 7 is released, one face of the end paper 7 with the adhesive is temporarily bonded on the paper board 1 of the front surface and the paper board 3 of the rear surface, and the front cover is closed. The hot-melt adhesive on the paper boards 1, 3 is melted by heating and pressing to bond the end paper 7 and the backing paper 8 together.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book cover for binding with a simple structure capable of simply filing a bundle of papers and preventing the filed bundle of the papers from being omitted.
      SOLUTION: The book cover 10 for binding is provided with a clip 12 for filing the papers composed of a clip main body 18 and a stopper 20.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover ribbing position regulating mechanism for a bookbinding apparatus which can automatically regulate a ribbing position of a cover with a simple mechanism.
      SOLUTION: When a distal end of the cover 17 approaches a cover ribbing position in which ribbing rollers 41, 43 and ribbing rollers 43, 44 are oppositely disposed, a drive shaft 48 rises in a direction of an arrow while rotating. The cover 1 is interposed between recesses 5 of the rollers 41, 43 and ridging shapes of the rollers 42, 44, and hence the cover 17 is linearly ribbed while being fed. If the ribbing position is regulated, when a drive motor 57 is rotated by a set quantity, a feed screw 55 is rotated, a moving block 53 is laterally moved along a guide 56 according to a rotating direction of the motor 57, and the roller 41 is moved to a set position via a baring 54 in association with the lateral movement. Then, paired ribbing rollers 2 are moved to a position set in association with the movement of the roller 41 by engaging the recesses 50 with the protrusion 51 of the ribbing part of the paired rollers 41.
