    • PURPOSE: To improve storage stability and to obtain high image density and low fog density by incorporating photosensitive silver halide, silver salt grains having adsorbed a compd. for forming a hardly soluble silver salt, a reducing agent, and a binder in a material formed on a support.
      CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive silver halide, the silver salt grains having adsorbed a compd. for forming a hardly soluble silver salt, the reducing agent, and the binder are incorporated in the material formed on the support. It is preferable to control the sensitivity of said silver salt grains to ≤1/10 of that of said photosensitive silver halide and their water solubility to a value higher than that of the silver halide in a state of said salt not having adsorbed the compd. for forming the hardly soluble silver salt. The use of a heat-developable photosensitive material of such a compsn. permits a good image and superior storage stability to be obtained.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce change of sensitivity during the storage of a photosensitive material also contg. a silver halide emulsion sensitized with a dye releasing compd. and a sensitizing dye by forming silver halide grains in the presence of a sensitizing dye.
      CONSTITUTION: The present photosensitive material can be prepared by gradually adding an aq. soln. of silver nitrate, an aq. soln. of halide, such as sodium chloride or potassium bromide, and a methanol soln. of a methine dye at the same time to an aq. soln. of gelatin and halide slowly for a time as long as 90min; adjusting pH of a produced silver halide emulsion; precipitating it to remove an excess of salts; adding water and gelatin to set pH to 6.0; executing gold and sulfur sensitization to obtain a silver halide emulsion; mixing a dispersion of a dye donor as well as necessary additives with it; applying them to a film; and forming a protective layer after drying.
