    • PURPOSE:To reduce generation of a propeller exciting force, by controlling wakes directed to a propeller, through injection of water through a large number of openings formed in the outer plate surface of the rear of a ship hull. CONSTITUTION:A large number of openings 2 are provided in an outer plate surface 1 of the rear of a ship hull, and water from a pump 4 is injected therefrom through feed water pipes 3. This controls wakes directed to a propeller P in uniform distribution, whereby uneven distribution of the wakes by which a propeller-exciting force is caused, is prevented from occurring, resulting in the ability to reduce generation of the exciting force.

    • PURPOSE:To take up efficiently the energy of outflow vortex as thrust or rotational energy, by attaching before or after a propeller an additional freely rotatable propeller that will be induced to be rotated. CONSTITUTION:After the propeller 1, the inducible propeller 5 is attached freely rotatably through a thrust bearing 6. The inducible propeller 5 can be induced to be rotated by the rotation of the propeller 1 in front thereof, and the induced rotation gives a forward thrust. In this mechanism, a double reverse mechanisms is not required, further in the design, the setting of reversal rotational frequency is not required, and care is not so required about the pitch angle.
