    • PURPOSE:To make responsiveness to a light signal better and to enable recording to be performed at high speed, by a method wherein electrodes connected by a photoconductive insulating material are constructed so as to have parts opposed in a nested state to each other to form a crooked gap. CONSTITUTION:A comb type first common electrode 7 that base end parts of respective high voltage applying electrodes 6 are arranged leaving a specific interval and base end sides thereof are commonly connected is formed on an upper face of base end part of a substrate 5, and optical switches 8... are constructed by respectively connecting the first common electrode 7 and respective high voltage applying electrodes 6 by a photoconductive insulating material 20. Herein, since the electrodes 6, 7 connected via the photoconductive insulating material 20 are constructed so as to have parts 6a, 7a opposed in a nested state to one another to form a zigzag bent gap 21, respective opposed parts of the electrode contributing to photoelectric current can be taken large, and current flows sufficiently. Breaking time of an electric potential is shortened and, as a result, responsiveness to light is elevated. Further, a resistant value of an optical sensor 8 can be easily controlled by changing its shape, and good recording can be performed at high speed.

    • PURPOSE:To inexpensively obtain a back electrode suitable for obtaining a high quality recording image, by constituting the back electrode so as to have such a structure that an electric conductive fine wire is provided under tension in parallel to the longitudinal direction of a slit like ink jet orifice. CONSTITUTION:A back electrode 11 is obtained by fixing one end of an electric conductive fine wire to the back electrode fixing member 15 provided between back electrode tensioning mount substrates 13, 14 and connecting the other end thereof to a fine wire take-up mechanism to wind the fine wire around said take-up mechanism and providing the electric conductive fine wire between back electrode support members 12, 12' under tension. The back electrode 11 is regulated and fixed so that the end surfaces of the back electrode tensioning mount substrates 13, 14 on the side opposed to an ink recording head, that is, the end surface of the back electrode 11 on the tensioning mount side thereof becomes a plane containing a straight line A-A, and recording paper 4 is fed in the state brought into contact with the end surfaces of the back electrode substrates 13, 14. The leading end parts of the recording electrodes 21 arranged at predetermined arrangement density in the longitudinal direction of a slit like ink jet orifice are arranged in the slit like ink jet orifice in parallel to the back electrode 11 mounted under tension.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a thermal transfer recording material enabled in that ink fine particles consisting of a coloring material and a low m.p. org. substance are rapidly melted to issue to a surface through the voids of a porous layer, easy to control gradation and having good sensitivity, by forming the porous layer on a base material from org. polymer fine particle and fine particles consisting of org. polymer fine particles, at least the coloring material and the low m.p. org. substance. CONSTITUTION:A part of org. polymer fine particles is constituted of fine particles different in m.p. consisting of at least a coloring material and a plurality of low m.p. org. substances having different melting points in a range of 50-90 deg.C. In order to form a smooth film on a sheet like base material, the org. polymer fine particles desirably have an average particle size of 0.5mum or less, further pref., 0.1mum or less. In order to form a good porous layer, it is desirable to set the average particle size of the org. polymer fine particles to 1/10 or less the average particle size of the fine particles consisting of at least the coloring material and the low m.p. Therefore, the desirable average particle size of the fine particles consisting of at lest the coloring material and the low m.p. org. substance is 1-10mum.

    • PURPOSE:To easily impress a pulse to an electrode without complexing the structure of a recording device and to reduce the size of the device by especially constituting a signal voltage impressing means for impressing a recording signal voltage to a recording electrode. CONSTITUTION:When magnetic toner 5 is put into a hopper 6 and a magnet 2 is rotated, the magnetic toner 5 flows out and a magnetic brush is formed close to the magnetic poles of the magnet 2, so that a toner chain 11 is formed on the tip of a recording electrode 3, the tip is allowed to contact with an image carrier 7 and an opposite electrode 8 is arranged on the other side of the image carrier 7. A photoconductor 12 and a resistor 13 are connected to an individual recording electrode 3 in parallel and DC power sources 14, 15 are respectively connected to the photoconductor 12 and the resistor 13. When a signal voltage is generated in the recording electrode 3 by impressing a voltage to the photoconductor 12 from the DC power source 14 and light is intermittently irradiated to the photoconductor 12 by using the DC power source 15 as an earth voltage, the magnetic toner 5 is transferred to the image carrier 7 by an electric field generated between the recording electrode 3 and the opposite electrode 8 and a toner image corresponding to the optical signal is formed.

    • PURPOSE:To permit recording to be performed without staining the back side of a recording medium by ink by avoiding the adherence of ink to the surface of a opposition electrode by providing an ink remover to remove ink adhered to the opposition electrode. CONSTITUTION:An ink remover 20 is provided on the opposite recorder side in relation to a rolled opposition electrode 8. In the ink remover 20, an ink absorber web 21 in contact with the surface of the electrode 8 along the longitudinal direction is attached to the plate 22 of a supporter. The plate 22 is slidably and detachably attached to the inside of the frame 24 of a holder. When ink reaches the remover 20 and comes into contact with the web 21 in a sliding manner as the electrode 8 turns, the ink is dissolved in the solvent, adsorbed, and removed. The staining with ink of the back of a new recording medium by ink adhere to the surface of the electrode 8 can thus be avoided, and good recording can be obtained.

    • PURPOSE:To fom an optical mixing part by melting and removing the clad layers and cores of plural plastic-made optical fibers partially through heat-ray irradiation, arranging those optical fibers oppositely, and filling the gap between the cores with a transparent material. CONSTITUTION:Side surfaces of two plastic-made optical fibers 6 and 7 are placed in conatct with each other and irradiated with a laser beam which is smaller than the core diameter of the optical fiber in a direction X in a figure to melt plastic-made cores and clad layers partially, forming the gap A. This gap A is filled with a material which has a refractive index and light transmission loss nearly to those of the core material to form the optical mixing part. Lastly, a clad layer film is adhered to the optical mixing part.
