摘要： PURPOSE:To stably reduction-color the surface of a fired body by blowing a reducing gas contg. gaseous CO as the essential component against the surface of the fired body contg. the metal oxides of Cu, Fe and Ti and which is still hot after firing. CONSTITUTION:A reducing gas consisting of gaseous CO alone or a reducing gas consisting of an inert gas (e.g. N2) contg. >=3% of gaseous CO or a gaseous mixture of CO and H2 is prepared. The reducing gas is blown against the surface of a fired body contg. 0.2-10% of the metal oxides of Cu, Fe and Ti and which is still hot after firing to reform the surface. Consequently, the fired body surface is beautifully reduction-colored in part or in whole. In this case, the reducing gas is preheated to >=500 deg.C and then blown against the fired body surface to cause an excellent reduction reaction, and a stabilized reduction color is obtained.

In association with the downward flow, an upwardly oriented flow (U) is formed along another longitudinal side of the case 3, forming a convection in the room.
