    • PURPOSE:To improve efficiency of a plant by heating gasifying air supplied to a gasification furnace by the steam generated in a gasification furnace heat collecting boiler in order to raise the temperature of gasifying air to a high level, and to increase calorific value of the stem generated in the gasification furnace. CONSTITUTION:A gasification furnace 1 generates crude gas 4 by coal 2 and gasifying air 3 being supplied. And the crude gas 4, after being led to a gasification furnace heat collecting boiler 5, reaches to a gas refining device 10 through a high-temperature superheater 6 and each vaporizer 7 and 8 in order to become clean fuel gas 9. After that, the fuel gas 9 is sent to the combustor 21 of a gas turbine 20 to be combusted and drives a generator 24. In this case, steam 73 generated in a gasification furnace heat collecting boiler 5 at the exit of the high-temperature superheater 6 is sent to a gasification air heater 80, and the gasifying air 3 is heated here. By this, the temperature of the gasifying air 3 is raised to a high level, and calorific value of the crude gas 4 generated in the gasification furnace 1 is increased thereby in order to improve efficiency of a plant.

    • PURPOSE:To contrive to make the electric power plant compact by constructing the fundamental base in which several fuel cells can be installed as a block so as not to expose the common piping of the fuel gas and the exhaust gas to the outside environment. CONSTITUTION:The fundamental base 2 in which several fuel cells can be installed is constructed with three rooms of the connection piping room 4, the low temperature room 5, and the high temperature room 6 like a box. In the low temperature room 5 the common supply piping 7, 8 of the fuel gas for the anode and the cathode, in the high temperature room 6 the common exhaust gas piping 9, 10, and in the connection piping room 4 the all kinds of piping for connection of the cell 1 to the piping 7-10 are installed respectively. And on the inside of each room 4-6 the common thermal insulator device 11 is provided to prevent the deterioration of the efficiency due to the heat radiation. After fixing the cell 1 on the upper surface the construction of the base is completed by performing the piping. Therefore the power plant of the fuel cell can be made compact and also the work such as installation can be simplified.

    • PURPOSE:To drive a compressor with gasification furnace excess steam introduced into a steam turbine in plant starting by combining the shafts of an expansion turbine, a compressor and a steam turbine into one. CONSTITUTION:A fuel cell power generating plant is formed with a gasification furnace to which fine coal powder 1 and oxygen are supplied for gasification, and a molten carbonate fuel cell 20 in which carbonate such as lithium carbonate is used as an electrolyte. An expansion turbine 36, a compressor 37, a steam turbine 38 and a dynamo 40 are combined into the same shaft. When the plant is started, the gasification furnace 3 is operated and steam 8 obtained from heat recovery boilers 5, 7 is supplied to the steam turbine 38 to drive the compressor 37 and compressed air is supplied to the fuel cell 20. Since a starting device of the compressor is eliminated, starting loss can be decreased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate non-evaporating water drops at a humidifying device outlet and inhibit formation of scale in a regenerator without employing a special structure for the regenerator.
      SOLUTION: A humidifying device comprises a humidifying device outer tube 40 and a humidifying device inner tube 41. Compressed air is introduced into the humidifying device inner tube 41 from an inner tube main air inlet 42 and is humidified by injection water from an inner tube injection water nozzle 43. Part of compressed air is branched and introduced to an air channel 44 between the outer tube and the inner tube. Humidified compressed air flowing in the humidifying device inner tube 41 is merged with compressed air branching off via an inner tube air mixing hole 45, and then, the humidified compressed air is introduced to the regenerator 4.
