    • PURPOSE:To enable the reliable detection of deterioration of a smoothing capacitor without removing the capacitor, by detecting directly a charging/discharging current flowing through the capacitor provided between an AC/DC converter and a DC/AC converter and by comparing a detected value with a value at a normal time. CONSTITUTION:A smoothing capacitor 3 is provided between an AC/DC converter 1 and a DC/AC converter 2. The AC/DC converter 1 and the DC/AC converter 2 are controlled by a control device 8 so that the opposite end voltage of the capacitor 3 and an output voltage of the DC/AC converter 1 be in accord with a voltage instruction, and thereby the power running and regenerative control of a motor load are conducted. A current transformer 7 being connected in series to the capacitor 3, a charging/discharging current of the capacitor 3 is detected and a detection signal thereof is inputted to a current comparator circuit 10. Meanwhile, a current setting unit 11 provided separately outputs to the circuit 10 a pattern of the charging/ discharging current of the capacitor 3 at a normal time. Comparing this charging/ discharging current pattern with a detected value of the charging/discharging current of the capacitor 3, the circuit 10 judges the capacitor 3 deteriorated when a deviation value thereof exceeds a prescribed value, and delivers an output.

    • PURPOSE:To increase a responding speed of the title power source, by having current command signal in current control system and current command signal on the main system side, in common, and by using both signals on the self and main system sides, as current feedback signal. CONSTITUTION:Through a transformer 1 from an AC power source, a motor 3 is driving-controlled by variable power controllers A, B in the main system and the auxiliary system of converters 2, 21 arranged in parallel with each other. On the main system side A, the controller is composed of a current transformer 4, an output voltage detector 5, a current control circuit 8, a voltage control circuit 9, and the like, and is worked on a steady state. The auxiliary system side B is provided with a current transformer 22 and a current control circuit 24, and in place of a voltage control circuit, current command signal lp on the main system side A is used, and current detecting signal IF on the main system side A is used, and these signals are directed to an arithmetic unit 27 for input. Then, the auxiliary system side B is automatically worked just on the lowering of AC power voltage, and so the uneconomical property of a transformer capacity can be eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To discriminate a trouble mode of a thyristor switch on trouble, and to control the stoppage of the motor in consideration of the whole system by providing a current voltage detector. CONSTITUTION:A voltage commutation circuit 15 is connected to the thyristor switches 3, 4, 5, and the complete state of a short circuit is detected by detecting relays A1, A2, A3. On the other hand, the state in which detecting voltage exceeds the predetermined drop voltage of forward voltage is detected by a comparator 18 and detecting relays B1, B2, B3. The conduction or non-conduction of currents is detected by current detectors 9, 10, 11, a comparator 21 and detecting relays C1, C2, C3. The thyristor switches interrupt a gate by each trouble mode through the operation of the detecting relays A1, A2, A3, B1, B2, B3, C1, C2, C3.
