    • PURPOSE:To permit smooth paper feeding with a simple mechanism, by making a friction coefficient between a printing paper and a pressing member for pressing the printing paper against a paper feeding roller smaller than a friction coefficient between the paper feeding roller and the printing paper. CONSTITUTION:The length of printing paper PP is inserted through a paper inlet 4022, is guided to a traverse plate 404-1 and a platen holder 407, then is guided between the platen holder 407 and a platen 401 and a smear prevention plate 417-1 and leaf springs 430, and then is introduced between the leaf springs 430 and rubber rollers 406 against which the leaf springs 430 are acting. After being printed, the printing paper will be fed in a direction shown by an arrow along with the rotation of the rubber rollers 406 with it being pressed against the rubber rollers 406 by the leaf springs 430. In this case, the material of the rubber rollers 406 and leaf springs 430 are selected such that the relation of a friction coefficient mu1 between the printing paper PP and the rubber roller 406 with a friction coefficient mu2 between the printing paper PP and the leaf spring 430 is mu1>mu2. Thus excellent paper feeding can be performed.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain high quality prints with their pitches between the lines neatly arranged, by rotating a paper feeding roller to feed a length of paper corresponding to a line during the return movement step of a platen, and by providing a roller reverse rotation preventing means which is mounted on a paper feeding mechanism to act during the forward movement step of the platen. CONSTITUTION:When a particular printing type is opposed to a platen 401 by rotation of a printing type wheel 202, an electric current is passed through coils 2161, 2162, magnetic fluxes of yoke comb teeth 2143, 2144 supporting an armature 213 are cut, and a printing type wheel selecting lever 208 is swung around an axis 212 clockwise by a spring force of a leaf spring 217 to cause a click 2081 to engage with a tooth B on a side surface of the printing type wheel 202. Thus the rotation of the printing type wheel 202 is stopped with the particular printing type portion on its outer periphery opposed to the platen 401. Printing is carried out by displacing the platen 401 toward thus arranged printing types, and when the platen 401 starts to return to its waiting position, the leaf springs are moved to swing the printing type wheel levers 208, so that the printing type wheel levers 208 for a particular line are reset to their original positions.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a compact printer of low power consumption and high reliability, by providing coils on portions of magnetic flux conducting N-pole and S- pole so that magnetic fluxes which relate to type selection and which are conducted through yokes at the time of electricity feed are reduced. CONSTITUTION:When a printing signal is applied, a motor 101 starts rotating to revolve a type wheel shaft 201 in a forward direction P through gears 104-107, 110, 203. At that time, type wheels 202 for digits are revolved together with the shaft 201 in the same direction P. When a desired-character type on the peripheral surface of the type wheel 202 is revolved to a position opposed to a platen 401, electric energy is supplied to required one of coils 216 for a short time so that the magnetic attractive forces between an armature 213 and yoke's comb teeth 2143, 2144 at the digit are eliminated, a selection claw 208 is revolved toward the type wheel shaft 201 centering a shaft 212 and the rotation of the type wheel 202 is stopped. The to-be-printed type is therby selectively located in front of the platen 401.
