    • PURPOSE:To eliminate vertical deviation in printing as to each digit and improve the quality of the printing, by locking a printing wheel shaft unmovably throughout a printing period. CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a motor 101 is started in accordance with a printing instruction signal to revolve a type wheel shaft 201 in a forward direction P through gears 104-107, a type wheel shaft foward rotation gear 110 on a cam shaft 103 and a type wheel shaft gear 203. Type wheels 202 are rotated forward by the forward revolution of the type wheel shaft 201. When types for one to-be-printed line are trued up as to all digits, a cam 111 on the shaft 103 and a cam 204 on the type wheel shaft 201 are engaged with each other to stop the type wheels 202 to perform printing. After that, a type wheel shaft backward rotation sector gear 108 on the shaft 103 is engaged with a reset gear 205 to transmit the rotation of the gear 205 to the type wheel shaft 201 to rotate the type wheel revolving shaft 201 in a backward direction Q. As a result, the type wheels 202 are revolved backward. The shaft 103 is stopped by a motor stop signal so that the gears 108, 205 are stopped as they remain engaged with each other.

    • PURPOSE:To cause always sure type selection, by effecting the type selection process of each printing cycle when the drive motor of a printer has reached a constant speed. CONSTITUTION:A power switch 1 is closed to supply electric power to an electronic circuit etc. as shown at 2, 7. A printing instruction 3 is then applied to supply a voltage 4 to a motor. As a result, a current 5 flows between the terminals of the motor to rotate it. When the rotational frequency 6 of the motor has reached a constant level in a time of 100m sec or more, the all-digit true-up and return of type wheels is completed and a waiting period begins. At that time, a printing OK signal In is produced by a printer to inform that information to be printed can be entered into the printer and that a timing signal T is entered from the printer. After that, the type wheel starts rotating forward and signals T0-T12 are applied to select a type to perform printing 8 and then perform paper feed operation 9. During that time, a timing signal T13 is produced to cut off the current 5 and cause stoppage at the initial part of a type wheel return period.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of the device, by driving a timing detector through a rotary shaft except for a type wheel shaft and operating a printing OK signal generator through a cam provided on the rotary shaft and through a lever which acts to the cam. CONSTITUTION:The detection disc 115 of a timing detector, which produces for producing a type wheel selection timing signal is driven by a rotary shaft 103 except for a type wheel shaft. A signal corresponding to a type and a motor stop signal are generated by the rotation of the disc 115 following the shaft 103 whenever a type signal producing perforated hole 1151 and a motor signal producing perforated hole 1152 pass by a photo-sensitive element 307. When the notch 1161 of a cam 116 is located at the arm 3041 of a lever 304 ad a result of the rotation of the cam following that of the shaft 103, the lever 304 and the cam 116 are disengaged from each other so that the lever swings by a spring 306 centering a shaft 303 until the lever comes into contact with a stopper 3012 provided on a holder 301. At that time, a permanent magnet 305 is displaced down from the center of a reed switch 302 to cause a printing OK signal generator 302 to produce a printing OK signal.
