    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording medium which has excellent thermal stability and is used for high density recording of low medium noise, and a magnetic storage device.
      SOLUTION: A magnetic disk 100 is provided with a soft magnetic layer 3, a seed layer 4, and a recording layer 5 having artificial lattice structure. The soft magnetic layer 3 is formed for example of Co, B, and the seed layer 4 is formed for example of Pd, B. Magnetic exchange coupling force of the inplane direction acting among crystal particles of the recording layer 5 is reduced by this structure. Therefore, minute recording magnetic domains is formed in the recording layer 5, a magnetic transition region is made clear, and medium noise is reduced. That is, reproduction is performed with low medium noise even if information is recorded in high density. Since the recording layer 5 having the artificial lattice structure has high magnetic anisotropy, it is also excellent in thermal stability.
