SOLUTION: Thermal plasma of a laminar flow is generated using a high voltage type DC plasma gun, the thermal plasma of a laminar flow is charged with the raw material of ceramic, a melt is exhausted by a gas blow almost orthogonal to the thermal plasma, and is cooled and solidified, so as to produce a ceramic bead. The spherical ceramic bead free from bursting, even in the case that pores are present in the raw material powder, and having excellent surface smoothness can be obtained.
