    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an oil-soluble insect pheromone encapsulated microcapsule which can be easily produced, has a high oil-soluble insect pheromone content, and has a temperature-response function and to provide a microcapsule which releases the encapsulated oil-soluble insect pheromone from the capsule shell in a water or water-containing protecting substance environment in a manner that the evaporation is promoted on the lower side and is suppressed on the higher side across the boundary of the lower critical solution temperature (LCST).
      SOLUTION: By using a wall material polymer having a temperature response function as a shell, an oil-soluble insect pheromone encapsulated microcapsule capable of controlling the evaporation of an oil-soluble insect pheromone can be obtained. By using a temperature-responsive polymer as a capsule wall material in a water or water-containing protecting substance environment, it becomes possible to control the evaporation of an encapsulated oil-soluble insect pheromone in response to a temperature (the atmospheric temperature). It becomes possible to control the evaporation of an oil-soluble insect pheromone highly concentratedly encapsulated by a microencapsulation technique stably for a long time.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide microcapsules capable of vaporizing an insect pheromone, which is an oil soluble agrochemically active ingredient and contained in a high concentration, stably for a long period by using a microencapsulation technology.
      SOLUTION: The microcapsules are obtained by microencapsulating the oil soluble agrochemically active ingredient consisting of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and the insect pheromone as its structural analog. To contain the insect pheromone in a high efficiency, an encapsulation reaction at an oil and water boundary of an O/W emulsion is adopted. By utilizing the gas generated in the encapsulation reaction and a drying method in liquid on preparation, a capsule outer shell having fine pores is obtained. As a result, the microcapsules each imparted with fine pores most suitable for vaporizing the insect pheromone stably for a long period from the outer walls of the capsules are obtained.
