    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spark plug which contains a small amount of Pb component, in which the adhesion of an insulator with an inner surface of a rubber cap is secured in a proper state and further, which has a glaze layer superior in insulation property and anti-flashover property. SOLUTION: In the spark plug 100 containing a resistor, a glazed layer 2d formed on the surface of the alumina-series insulator 2 contains Pb component of 1 mol% or less at PbO conversion and contains Si component, B component, Zn component and/or alkaline-earth metal components and alkaline metal components.
