摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low pressure synthesizing method of cBN from hBN in a low pressure condition and a method for producing a cBN sintered body using a cBN raw material powder. SOLUTION: The synthesis of cBN from hBN is performed at a low pressure (4 GPa or more) and at 1,200-1,900°C using alloy powders or mixed powders consisting of 15 wt.% or more and less than 50 wt.% of Mo, 1.5-8 wt.% of one or two selected from among Al and Mg and the balance of one or more selected from among Fe, Co and Ni as a metal catalyst. The sintered body of cBN is obtained by making the alloy powders or the mixed powders used as the metal catalyst as a sintering auxiliary agent contained in the raw material powder of the cBN and by sintering the mixture. 摘要：課題従来、切削工具などに用いられてきたダイヤモンド焼結体は、焼結助剤として鉄系金属元素を含むため、耐熱性に問題があった。また、鉄系金属を含まないダイヤモンド焼結体では、機械的強度が不足して、工具材料としては使用できず、導電性もないため、放電加工ができず、加工が困難であった。解決手段非晶質もしくは微細なグラファイト型炭素材料のみを出発原料とし、ホウ素を添加して超高圧高温状態でダイヤモンドへの変換と焼結を同時に行い、耐熱性および機械的強度に優れ、さらに放電加工可能な導電性を有するダイヤモンド多結晶体を得る。
