    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling tool with which a chamfer working sufficiently improving a fitting workability to an other member can be applied to the end surface part of a base stock to be rolled while keeping the precision of a tooth-shape rolled to the base stock to be rolled.
      SOLUTION: In a chamfer tool 1, a pressing surface part 6 formed on the flat surface and a plurality of groove parts 7 downward inclined toward each tooth bottom of a rolled tooth-shape surface 3 from the pressing surface part 6 and forming a ridge line as tapered state, are formed. Then, the chamfer tool 1 can apply the shearing work to the tooth shape of the base stock to be rolled by pressing the teeth shape to be formed in the groove parts 7 of the base stock, with the pressing surface part 6. Therefore, since the teeth-shape of a spline etc., is not deformed with the fluidity of the material according to rolling-work (plastic work) with die tooth for chamfer, such as the conventional rolling tool, the chamfer-work can be applied to the end surface part of the base stock while keeping the precision of the teeth-shape rolled to the base stock.

    • PURPOSE:To attain a greatly reduced vibration of works in a rolling stage by setting auxiliary tools which move together with a rolling tool and also rool works on both sides of the rolling tool for generating teeth on works between the rolling tools. CONSTITUTION:A couple of the rolling tools 10 are oriented in parallel to each other and hold the bar-shaped work 11. The tools 10 are pressed against the work 11 and are moved in respective opposite directions to generate teeth on the surface of the work 11. The auxiliary tools 12 being set on both sides of the rolling tools 10 also roll the work 11 in integral with the rolling tools 10. When a rolling force given by the rolling tools 10 has a pulse shown by the continuous line A, a rolling force shown by the stitch line B given by the auxiliary tools 12 is applied to the work 11 to interpolate the pulse. A composite force of both the above forces is approximately constant as shown by the chain line C, prevents vibration of the work 11 during rolling stage, and manufactures gears having an accurate tooth trace and tooth profile.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate scratches causing on the outer peripheral face of a member to be worked by stopping the push of the member to be worked simultaneously with the stopping time of the reciprocating relative movement of a rolling tool in case of making a form rolling on the outer peripheral face of the member to be worked with its rotary movement. CONSTITUTION:The member 56 to be worked is supported rotatably by a rotary center 78 and center 92 by actuating a hydraulic cylinder 82 and small-sized hydraulic cylinder 96. The member 56 to be worked is then pushed between flat-shaped dies 52, 54 with driving a pushing slide 80 in the direction of a front diver 20 by the hydraulic cylinder 82. At the same time a form rolling is performed on the outer peripheral face of the member 56 to be worked by actuating the hydraulic cylinders 44, 46 and with moving counter slides 30, 32 from the fixed position by a reciprocating relative movement. When the relative movement is temporarily stopped immediately before the starting of the return motion after completion of the going motion of the counter slides 30, 32 in said operation, the push of the member 56 to be worked is stopped simultaneously as well by a controlling device. The generation of scratches on the outer peripheral face of the member 56 to be worked due to unreasonable sliding is thus prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To smooth the entire part of a tooth face and to decrease errors by forming a leading tooth group in such a way that the tooth thickness thereof is made to be thinner than the thickness of narrow-width finishing teeth. CONSTITUTION:Working tooth width (l) with respect to a material 2 to be rolled in the 2nd small group 14b is smaller than the tooth width W of the material 2 and the contact start end is inner by half of the pitch space in the transverse direction of a base body 11. The waviness acting on the tooth face of the material 2 by a narrow width finishing tooth is therefore the waviness deviated in phase by 1/2 from the waviness generated already on the tooth face. More specifically, the crest parts in the waviness generated in the tooth trance direction of the tooth face of the material 2 are crushed by the waviness generated when rolled by the narrow-width finishing teeth 16 after the 2nd small group 14b.
