    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a belt continuously variable transmission for vehicles capable of suppressing the relative rotation of movable rotating bodies when a vehicle is changed over between a drive state and a driven state. SOLUTION: This control device of a belt continuously variable transmission for vehicles comprises a changeover transient holding pressure control means 128 for temporarily increasing a holding pressure from a movable rotating body 46b applied onto a transmission belt 48 when the drive state and the driven state of the vehicle are judged to be changed over from one to the other. In the changeover period between the drive state and the driven state of the vehicle, a pressing force from the movable rotating body 46b to a fixed rotating body 46a through the transmission belt 48 is temporarily increased.
